My Alpha Prince (Karmagisa omegaverse au)

Chapter 9

As I thought, I completely forgot where I was going with the story. I got a new phone in the time I was gone so the chapter that I was working on got deleted, at least I remember starting chapter nine. But I suppose I am the original creator, I'll figure out something. And damn did I love having characters walking into dramatic ass scenes. Also, I only read chapter 8 before starting this so let me know if any of the details are incorrect from the original story. If they are, please ignore them and I'll fix them in future chapters. I wanted to get chapter two of my original story done before posting this one. My user on Ao3 is the same as on here if you'd like to check it out.

I haven't seen Asano nor Karma since the incident in the hall. I was rather harsh, if Karma died I don't think I'd be able to focus on my work either so I shouldn't blame him. But still, it's his duty as the heir. All Kings and Emperors must begin their duties the moment of their father's death. A country does not stop running after it's ruler dies, after all.

"Your Grace, is everything alright?" A knight asks as he gets a drink of water. 

"Ah, my apologies. My life just changed so suddenly. I used to have no responsibility at all, and now I'm acting as regent to an entire country. It's stressful to say the least." He smiles at me.

"I'm sure you'll get used to it soon enough. You're very motivated, and his Highness will take over soon enough." I chuckle.

"I hope so, at least."

"Karma? Are you here?" I peek into his office as he sets down a book.

"Yes? Come in." I walk in and set down some papers. 

"You're the heir, so I wanted to give you a report of everything in today's meeting and how I responded. Nothing's finalized, so if you want me to do anything different I can." He smiles.

"I will take over my father's duties in a few days, so you shouldn't worry about making the wrong choice. Besides, you'll soon be King Consort." I chuckle.

"Even so, I don't have any formal training in these matters. I was an assassin just a short while ago. Oh, and how's Asano doing? You didn't pick a fight with him, did you? It'll be bad if they cause a war because of this." I ask.

"He's fine. I sent him home, by the way. His presence was annoying." He says as he skims over the papers, making me laugh. 

"I'm sorry I was so cold to you, I don't know what I'd do if you died so I can't imagine how you must be feeling right now." He glances up at me.

"Oh? I was under the impression you wouldn't care?" I huff.

"You're my mate, of course I'd care. Besides, you're rich." He grins.

"Is that really all?" I feel my cheeks heat up at his inquiry.

"You're also really handsome, and your teasing is annoying, but the liveliness is nice. I can't remember the last time I had a pleasant conversation before I met you." Normally most of my socialization were with shop clerks, clients, and my targets. Karasuma didn't talk much either and Irina was just... too much. 

"I see. Come here." He scoots his chair back, beckoning me to his lap. I glare at him.

"I'm not a child." He grins back.

"Really? I couldn't tell. Prince's orders." I blush as I shuffle over to his lap. I sit with my back to his chest and he turns my head. He places a soft kiss on my lips and then the top of my head. He's very warm, I like it. I end up falling asleep as he continues to work.

Sorry it's super short. I'm sure I had a plan for what was going to go down the rest of the story but I lost it when I got my new phone. I didn't want to keep you guys waiting any longer than necessary so I just did some fluff and dialogue. I'll try to update once a week as best I can, so some chapters may be shorter than I'd like (I try to at least get to 1000 words every chapter) and I noticed my characters were a little ooc so I'm trying to get them more in character.
