Joeys pov:
As I'm driving back to my house with Y/n, I can see she's been smiling the whole time which I find cute. I can tell she's super hyped about being in another band by how she's happily tapping her feet to a random beat. This girl is all about music and she always has been which I like about her. She's also just so happy. I look over to her for a second and tap her thigh.
"Hey, not to be that guy. but you look like a dork when you smile like that" I say to her which causes her to push me playfully.
"Hey, not to be that girl. But you look like a dork when you drive like that" she says, which makes me chuckle. Ever since high school we've been close. She was the only girl that would approach me willingly seeing as she was one of the weird kids as well.
"And we're here" I say while parking my car next to hers. I get out and run over to her side just as she was getting ready to open her door
"Nope.." I say as I open it for her. She lets out a small laugh and goes to get her bass from the trunk. This has been a running joke between us since we formed Modifidious. Neither of us remember how it started but I still do it nonetheless. Plus her reactions are always nice to see
"You never fail to do that shit" she says as she puts her case into the backseat of her car. I walk over to where she is and lean against her car
"I'm so happy you're in the band. And I bet Corey's gonna be happy for you as well" I say while looking at her. She stares at my hair for a second then starts to move strands of it into their correct places.
"Your hair got all messy.. did you even brush it this morning?" She asks. She didn't hear what I had said, which made me laugh. She looks at me funny then it clicks
"Oh shit did you say something?" She asks me. I nod and repeat what I had said which causes her to smile
"Yeah I'm happy I can't wait to tell Corey... Oh shit Corey" she says while rushing to the driver side and getting in. I chuckle at her forgetfulness and wave to her as she pulls out of my driveway. She's definitely an odd one
