  Chapter 11: Boyfriend

I went back to my tent, put my food on a small stool before getting myself a seat then I sat down to eat. But soon the food became tasteless as paper and I wasn’t that hungry any more.

I kept thinking of how angry I was and how stupid Alex was being. I mean really why can’t he just accept the fact that we’re going to help. Maybe he’s sexist?

After a few minutes of these thoughts running through my head I heard someone enter the tent. I jumped up and turned, thinking that it might be Christopher again. But it was just Alex.

“What do you want?” I asked angrily, as I sat back down.

He just stood there staring at me with those beautiful eyes that seemed to pierce my soul.

I suddenly realised that I was just making a bad situation even worse for him and for me.

“Sorry for yelling at you before.” I told him earnestly, trying not to be a bitch.

“It’d ok you were right.” He admitted in a shameless voice, like he knew I was going to get my way the whole time.

“I was?” I asked seriously taken back by his words, I’d thought he’d be stubborn with his point. Instead  he seemed ashamed by his past judgment on our decision.

“Yeah you just we a little…” he was at a loss for words.

“Like a crazed mega bitch about it,” I offered crudely.

“No, not like a crazed mega bitch, you just want everyone to be safe,” He disagreed but still seemed to be struggling for the right expression to describe my reaction.

I stared at him for a moment then came up with the right word to describe putrid the way that I had acted.

“Eccentric then,” I offered in what passed for a semi-cheerful voice.

“Yeah, you were a little eccentric about it,” He agreed sheepishly.

We just stood their staring at each other for a bit. I took this time to study his angelic face, athletic body and angel eyes. Even though he looked like he could take a lot of crap, he also had a gentle feel to him. One that made me feel protective of him, it was strange but he was so good and pure sorta like an angel.

When I was done studying how gorgeous he was I began to worry about how my out breaks were affecting him. That was when I noticed that on one of the deeper cuts on his shoulder some of the bandages had come undone and the stitches looked to be braking.

I froze for a moment- it freaked me out that a guy like Alex could bleed.

“Oh god, sit down and take your top off.” I instructed him.

“WHAT?” He asked his eyes widening in pure astonished disbelief.

“The stitches on your shoulder are coming undone.” I told him, before pausing for a moment to think over my words, “What did you think I meant?”

“Nothing,” He replied- obviously lying- as he began taking a seat on one of the few chairs. Then when I knew that he wasn’t about to die, faint or something, I went to the food tent to get the first aid kit and some water to clean the wound.

When I came back in I saw Alex sitting on a chair topless. And other than the gash on his shoulder his chest gave a very nice view. He had- still has- ripped abs. The golden sunlight shining through the transcendent tent roof out lined the lightly tanned skin of his chest and short bronze hair that framed his angelic face.

He was so perfectly calm and… well hot, that I came close to dropping the bandages and cloths that I was holding. It took me a few seconds to get over how freaking sexy he was before I could get to work on the cut.
