I slipped into my house, shutting the door quietly behind me. I wasn't really worried; they couldn't be home yet. Allowing myself to relax, I slumped into the kitchen, quick to make myself a small dinner, taking the foods they wouldn't notice. Spoiled lettuce, almost-rotten beef slices, stale cracker...
You get my point.
Silently, I fled down the stairs to my room, which was also the basement. There was no sound upstairs, but I was of course expecting the mouse squeaks and occasional screech of the metal pipes from the ceiling. These sounds I had come accustomed to.
I set my plate of scraps on my dimly lit bedside table, glancing over at the corner of the room. There was a blanket stuffed into a large hole in the wall; the hole was from a pretty traumatic rat experience. I sighed before plopping down on my bed, running a hand over my face. I didn't know how to describe how I was feeling.
Whipped, maybe that could put it simply. I was completely head over heels for a girl who said not one word to me.
Boy was I a picker.
Who in their right mind had a crush on the mute girl? The nerd freak?
Fang freaking Westbrook, that's who.
I couldn't help it. She, the mute nerd of the school, walked up to me, the cool of the school, and threw my cigarette on the ground.
No one had ever done that to me before.
It was seriously hot.
And now, she was invading my every thought. She was distracting me so much, I wasn't being careful enough when I came in, so I forgot to lock the basement door. I slapped myself in the face as I heard stumbling from upstairs, an angry yell, then my basement door flew open.
"Fang!" They exclaimed angrily in unison as they stormed down the stairs. I watched them with annoyance, fear, and amusement at the same time.
"Minerva, Deacon," I greeted them curtly, the scowl I had reserved only for them making it's way onto my face.
"It's mother and father to you, Fang!" Deacon slurred, then like an idiot fell forward and landed a few feet in front of me, leaving me with a sickly smirk on my face.
"Of course-" I paused to kick him in the head lightly- "father." Minerva growled- an unlady-like sound, really not appropriate- and jumped at me. She, too, fell on her face in front of me, right next to her idiotic husband.
I sighed and grabbed Minerva by her long dyed green hair, Deacon by his stupid neck. Dragging both up the stairs wasn't easy, but I managed. Setting them up in a way that they wouldn't suspect a thing (Deacon on top of Minerva and Minerva's pant's down. They've woken up like this too many times), I sighed and nodded at my work. Then I noticed slightly the marijuana poking out from under the cushion of the couch, so I shoved it back under, making sure there weren't any guns poking out anywhere else.
I closed my eyes for a second, and an image of Oakley Mirza appeared behind my eyelids. Her long curly red hair, soft gray eyes, the eye around the pupil always a light brown. Her soft-looking pale skin, kissable, full pink lips. Her short stature and the way she always furrowed her eyebrows in class and bit onto the eraser of her pencil or her lips when she was nervous.
She was the most gorgeous girl I'd ever seen.
Damn, I really needed a cigarette.

A/N:
1, I know, you're like, "Already, Nixy? What the hell? Why does he already like her?" And my answer is simple. CHILL OUT. All will reveal itself, in the end.
AAAAAAND, 2, My chapter will always alternate between viewpoints, but it's more likely that Fang's will be shorter. I'm a female, which would mean, I'm more exact with the female emotions, so sorry if this disappoints you.
But there will always be longer chapter will him, usually for bigger parts. Anyways, hope you enjoys! I know that's not proper, the 'enjoys' part, but I'm feeling a little risky today, so why not?
