The Doctor wiggled his fingers and got ready to make his way out of the room. His exhaustion from the telepathic message was only temporary. He made to get up when two forceful hands pushed him right back down.
"And you are going where exactly?"
"Look thanks for your kindness and stuff but I must go and see Robert. So, if you could point me in the general direction of Robert Hooke that would be appreciated." The Doctor said sarcastically. Missy frowned.
"Why do you even care about him? He's so rude to you all the time! Wouldn't it just be easier to let us keep him?"
"Just because he's rude doesn't mean that we value him any less. Now, if you would get out the way, I have to go find him." The Doctor successfully managed to push past Missy and make his way through the doorway and out into a large corridor. He paused and turned back. "What did you mean 'I don't think they could see the pharmacy'?" Missy rolled her eyes and turned to face the Doctor.
"Are slow today, aren't we? Andrix, can't see but have evolved mechanoreceptor in the skin." Missy stared expectantly at the Doctor. He stared back blankly.
"One more time?"
"They feel vibrations. Heartbeats? And since you don't have the same heartbeat as everyone else, they know it's you." Missy grinned. Her teeth were pure white. "Anything else my liege?" she taunted with a short bow. The Doctor rolled his eyes.
"Ok, last question. Why did you plant Antoine and Robert in the ground when you could have just made more hands?"
"Well, when I went to the Andrix's planet I had to bring a peace offering or they would have just killed me on the spot." Missy started in her best innocent voice, "just so happens that the two best scientists in all of mankind are exactly what I needed to make them listen and consider. After the agreement was made, I didn't want them anymore, and since I couldn't return them to earth, I gave them to the Andrix. They just got a full body scan and the Andrix made copies of them out of the shapeshifting glue stuff. Unfortunately, they were stupid enough to keep the human heartbeats without variation. Idiots."
"Great, excuse me while I go and find Robert." The Doctor turned and made 3 steps before he saw yet another hand scuttling on the floor. He froze and held his breath. It completely ignored him and entered a room to his left. If I don't speak, they won't know the difference between me and Missy he thought, same race, same heartbeat. Now, time to find Robert. He half-ran down the hallway and turned into every room there was, hoping to find the guy he despised. Missy followed silently behind him and rolled her eyes every time he checked a room.
"Honestly, what kind of Doctor can't find his patients?"
"The one with an annoying woman following him, criticizing him and not being helpful." The Doctor said under his breath before calling out "Robert! Where are you, Robert?"
Clara and Antoine rounded the corner a huge bulge in the road lifted many houses as it rose out of the ground. The concrete walkways cracked and fell apart on the way up the huge hill. The top of the bulge was rounded and flat with people on top of it. Cries for help reached Clara and Antoine's ears.
"Wait up there, we'll get rid of this soon," Antoine yelled. "As soon as we get in there." He whispered to no one.
A huge door started to open as Antoine whispered his last word. The inside of it was metal and shiny while the outside was made of the road.
"Well, in we go then," Clara said, quickly recovering from her momentary shock. She started toward the door and made it inside without a problem.
The door opened out into a large hallway. The floor and walls were made of patches of wood, metal, stone, and dirt. The smell of damp dirt filled the underground cave the seemed to stretch on forever. There were only a few lights were placed in the long hallway, giving off just enough light to see your hand in front of your face. Clara blinked rapidly to try and trigger the eyes to adjust but Antoine just walked like there was no problem. Antoine made a few steps before he realised there was only one pair of feet moving. He turned and immediately spotted Clara stumbling in the darkness as she tried to keep up. Without her sense of sight, she was finding it hard to follow.
"Antoine where are you?" she called."Over here" he answered.
"It's so dark in here, how can you see?"
"Uh- I don't know, I just can. Wait there I'm coming back." Antoine's mind raced.
How could he see perfectly fine while Clara couldn't see a thing? He forced his brain to start moving. If it was true and he was what the note said he was then he should be able to come up with an explanation. He pushed his mind to think, why was he like this? By the time he reached Clara he still had nothing. He reached her hand. "It's ok, take my hand and let's go." And together they moved down the hallway that seemed to stretch on for kilometres.
After what felt like hours, they made it to the end of the hallway. Clara's eyes had adjusted, and she had let go of Antoine's hand. They turned the corner at the end of the corridor and paused as they saw two figures in the near distance. Cautiously they hid around the corner again. Who were these people?
