"LANI!" shouted azea, running towards the 13 year old girl.
"AZZY!" lani also ran towards azea, opening her arms widely.
the two bestfriends hug each other tightly, almost falling onto the ground as they met for the first time ever.
"i can't believe you're here!" lani shouted happily as they released from the hug, smiling brightly. her mom approaching them. azea only smiled at the girl.
"it's nice to finally meet you, azea." lani's mom said, smile evident under her mask.
"it's nice to meet you too, tita." lani's mom knew azea is filipino and is used to azea calling her tita, which meant auntie in tagalog.
azea's older sister approached them, putting her arm around azea's shoulder, "you must be lani!" azea's sister noted, smiling at lani.
"yes i am! nice to meet you, ate." lani took her arm out, for azea's sister, avic, to shake it. which avic gladly took.
"we should go now, you two girls can meet again tomorrow. we had a long flight." said avic. lani's mom nodded.
"yeah you guys really should take a rest. where are you guys staying by the way?" lani's mom asked azea's sister. lani and azea were distracted, taking pictures at the airport.
"we rented an airbnb, i asked azea for your address so i could find a house closer to yours." avic answered, looking at azea and lani, smiling a little at the two girls.
"oh that's great! yeah that could help cause you know they will hang out a lot," lani's mom chuckled, so did avic. "by the way, i could drive you both there so you don't have to pay for a taxi."
avic just accepted and thanked the woman, calling her sister. "azea! c'mon let's go, mrs. smith will drop us off," azea and lani turned to them and ran to their way.
"oh you could just call me amelia," lani's mom said, laughing a bit.
