Seungcheol felt weird leaving the house in civilian clothes - jeans and a hoodie, his hair not even styled. Putting on a mask as well, he waited for a bus to arrive that could take him towards Kyonggi University, reading over on his tablet more about Lee Jungchan. He'd determined he would probably be the easiest to convince, plus the closest, so Seungcheol didn't have to worry too much about it.
Still, Seungcheol couldn't get rid of the bitter taste in his mouth. He didn't want to recruit people for a mass annihilation project - hell, he hated injuring people on the job. But the agency required it, and Seungcheol was indebted to the agency.
Ignoring the sick feeling, Seungcheol checked the map before settling into a seat. It was midday on a Tuesday, and surprisingly, Jungchan didn't have classes on Tuesdays. He'd found out a lot more about everyone on the agency's database, which he wasn't surprised about, but at least now he knew more about who he would work with.
Jungchan seemed like your typical nineteen year old kid, excited for college and life. Seungcheol figured he could feed him some coffee along with something about making a team to fight someone, and he'd accept. Then he'd pop him into their training facility, and grab Jihoon.
Yeah That was totally going to work.
Pressing the button to get off, Seungcheol climbed off the bus in front of the university before sighing. He really felt too old to be here, but oh well. It wasn't like he could just phone someone to get him in touch with this kid, so he had to do it the old fashioned way.
He'd found out what dorm room Jungchan lived in, and Seungcheol figured he wouldn't want a public confrontation, so even though it was considerably creepier, Seungcheol was going to show up at his doorstep.
Seungcheol got his way in just fine, pretending to be some kid off the database's brother who lived in the same dorm, and they waved him in without any protests. Now would it be a problem if they knew the kid had no siblings yeah, but Seungcheol would be gone if they even thought to check.
Walking his way into the dorm building, Seungcheol signed in with a fake name, the same name he'd given the people outside, and got a temporary elevator pass. "You will need someone to let you into your brother's room," the receptionist said warmly. "Do you have someone to let you in?"
"Yes I do, thank you," Seungcheol said back just as sweetly. "Have a nice day." He got into the elevator and pressed Jungchan's floor, swiping the card as an afterthought. Then the elevator began to rumble, Seungcheol muttering about how this was just a death trap for students.
When it arrived on the fifth floor, he got off and headed for room 500, finding it relatively quickly. Deciding to knock, he waited a few minutes before realising there was no movement inside the room either.
So Seungcheol had a choice. One, wait for someone to come back and help him, or two, get in his own way.
Seungcheol weighed his options, deciding that it was probably best for him to just get in and worry about explaining later. Kneeling in front of the door, he reached into his bag, searching for a lock picking kit.
When he found one, he pulled it out and began to mess with the lock on the dorm room. It shouldn't be too hard, but Seungcheol also had a bad record of picking locks. He usually would smash in the door, but this was a college dorm, and that was not a good idea.
"Excuse me sir, what are you doing to my door?" Seungcheol looked up in surprise to see the boy he'd only seen in pictures standing there, sucking down a giant frappuccino that probably had more sugar than a candy store. "I'm just curious. If this is some sort of kink I can come back later, but I will judge you."
