"I...I like klaus...." "What?!" "Yeah I've liked him for ages now, but he has that horrible girlfriend, so not only is he taken, but he is getting treated horrible!" I started to cry, but I shielded my face so Teddy couldn't see. "Kathy...If you like him and are this worried about him...tell me if there is anything I can do." This is why me and Teddy are friends. "Now go home, and go to sleep, you look tired." "Oh ok, and by the way, don't tell anyone, or heads will roll" "you are the classic English bitch you know that?" I just poke my tongue out at him. "But in all seriousness, I promise, not to tell a soul. Cross my heart and hope to die, stick a needle in my eye" "you're so childish!" I said, pushing him. "But I do promise. Promise promise promise too." Said Teddy. "I ain't telling you who I like though." Fair enough, I thought and continued walking home. It was sad, I longed for a dog to bowl me over when I got through the door, or perhaps a badger, but the only pet I had was an aggressive fish who ate all the pretty tropical ones and just ate whatever fell into the tank (rubber bands, flying homework etc.) but the only greeting I got was a scream from my mum to hang up the washing and then wash the car. Once I got back to my room, I hear laughing and giggling. My mum. Reading my diary. "So. Who is this klorws boy?" "It's pronounced Klows" I said, through gritted teeth. "Don't you snarl at me, that's a while month your phone is taken! And by the way this Klorws-". "KL-OW-S SPELT KLAUS!" I screamed. Not the smartest move. "That's it-phone taken for a whole semester!" "I don't care-I don't need you!" I grabbed my bag and started throwing all my clothes in it. "Who ya gonna go to huh? You got no money!" "Anywheres better than here!" I screamed before storming out. "Well good luck!" You're gonna be crawling back!" I decided to go to Teddy's as he told me I was always welcome if SHE ever made me too mad. I still wanted to go to school, to get a good job, so that morning I walked to school with Teddy. I'm glad he understood I didn't want to talk about what happened, so he talked about happy things like badgers, and saxophones and horror movies, all the stuff I was in to. Now that I was free, me and nimments went out to the mall after school. Even Klaus. And Brooke. Ergh. I hated her name too, it sounded like a guys name, if it sounded like a name it all. Pathetic. All she did the whole time we were shopping was winge to Klaus about all the "gorgeous" stuff she wanted. Klaus kept turning to me and rolling his eyes which made me giggle. Teddy kept shooting me funny looks every time he did this, so I elbowed him especially hard in the ribs and that shut him up. Before knew it, it was time to go and Klaus needed a ride. So Teddy's mum picked the three of us up and had to stop for gas about five minutes later. Teddy and his mum got out. Leaving just me. And Klaus. Jeez it was awkward. Then he started talking in that gorgeous accent. "Hey you seem cool we should hang out more sometime." "Sure, I'll talk to Teddy and-" "No just the two of us." "But Brooke-" "No-just as friends" "Erm yeah sure but I ran away and my mum still has my phone and-" "I know a guy, he'll get you whatever phone you want" "wow thanks!" At that moment, Teddy and his mum got back in and drove a Klaus home, before we returned. Soon the doorbell went a few hours later and I saw a tiny box on the front porch with a brand new iphone 5 inside it. And a note, "Thought you'd like this one, enjoy! Better get back before Brooke kills me lol" I almost fainted, he was so thoughtful. I set up my new phone and then Teddy wrote everyone's number into it. I set up my Facebook and saw I had a new message from klaus. I smiled, but as I opened it, I realised it was Brooke, using klaus' phone. She even took his phone now? Why does he stay with her? Anyway, I read the very, oh so kind text. Just kidding. "STAY AWAY FROM MY BOYFRIEND!" I just texted back, "What makes you think I like him?" Then I got a reply. But it was Klaus-apologising. Oh my god, I was texting him again. What a rush.
