Unknown POV:

This is the first feeling of pure warmth that I have felt in decades. I felt something like it when I was a child but since coming of age I haven't felt anything even close to it.

It's like the sun on my face but it's covering my entire front, everywhere they seem to touch seemingly on fire.

I look down at them, their stature so much shorter than mine, the top of their head reaches my chin.

It makes me want to place my chin atop their head and pull them close

I'm not sure if it's because I want to savor the warmth or snuff it out.

Soon their eyes look up at me and I gaze back into them. Deep pools of amber full of emotions and thoughts I can't read, odd

She began to speak as our eyes locked and that's when I smelled it

Madelines POV:

"I am so sorry," I began as I took a step back "-sir!" I half yelled the last part as I bowed to him

"Up," the voice startled me

It was a deep voice that sent chills down my spine, but something about it was also smooth like silk with an accent I could now easily place

I stood straight up and looked over the Vampire in front of me. His hair was pure black, like obsidian or a raven and it was somewhat short but full of curls. He had a sharp square jaw with high cheekbones and his blush pink lips that stuck out against his skin. It's what I imagined snow would look like

He was wearing a grey suit with a deep red dress shirt underneath. But the thing that caught my eye the most was the red and black pendant he wore around his neck

He straightened out his shoulders. He's definitely taller than me by a lot

He locked eyes with me and tilted his head to the side slightly as he furrowed his eyebrows

"Shit" I muttered as I looked down

So much for all those rules, I think I have broken every single one so far

I could see his shiny black shoes as he approached me. One voice in my head was screaming to run but another warned me to stay

"I came for a drink," he was now definitely in front of me but I kept my eyes on his shoes "not for you to ruin my suit"

He placed a hand under my chin sending shivers over the area and lifted my face up so we locked eyes again

"Now-" his eyes became darker as they swirled with clouds of grey

I am about to be compelled, great

"Erebus!" the kings voice startled me from behind before I could hear him approach us on the side

I could see him from the corner of my eye. He looked over to me quickly, almost disgusted, before looking back to the man in front of me, if I could even call him that

The sound of horns and music began following quickly with shouting and cheers

Blake sighed as he turned away from us

"Opening has begun, come sit," he turned back seeing that Erebus was not following him "Now"

I watched as the muscles flexed in Erebus' jaw, his eyes not leaving mine. He was looking at me like he was looking for something. His eyes scanning over my face rapidly, always returning back to my eyes. And the worst part is I did the same thing
