We all went over to get a bowl full of the stew and sat down at a table. I sat down next to Clementine, who was sitting with AJ, Louis, Marlon and Ruby.
Louis: Ladies and gentleman, dinner is served.
Clementine: Thanks. Wow, can’t remember the last time we had a hot meal. Mmm, this is really good.
Beside her, AJ drinks his stew and got it all over her face. Louis then burps from the other side of the table. I chuckled into my stew.
Ruby: Ugh, come on!
AJ burps next, followed by me.
Y/n: Nice one, AJ.
He grins, then swallows all of his stew.
Clem sat there, watching all of us. AJ burped again and we all laughed apart from Ruby.
Ruby: Oh, good Lord.
I continued to eat while saying something.
Y/n: Sorry, Omar’s not here, right now.
Louis then burps again, followed by me, again.
Ruby: Ugh, come on!
Marlon: Enough!
Ruby: Thank you.
Marlon looks to Ruby for a second before also burping. We all started laughing as Ruby got up from the table.
Louis: Goodnight, Rubyyy!
Just as Ruby walks away, AJ finished his food. He looked up at Clementine.
AJ: Clem?
Clementine: I’m sorry, buddy. I’m sure they shared as much as they could.
I thought for a moment before sliding the bowl over to AJ.
Y/n: Yo, AJ. I’m full, little dude. You can have the rest.
Clementine looks at me with an appreciative look.
Clementine: You sure?
Y/n: You bet.
AJ then drank it all in one go.
AJ: I’m all done.
Clementine: Mmhmm. Me too.
AJ: Now what?
I shook my head.
Y/n: Oh, no. Don’t ask that.
Louis: I’ll tell you what.
He flips his chair around.
Louis: Time for something...very important.
The boy pulls out a pack of cards. Brody walks past, groaning.
Brody: Oh, God, goodnight.
Louis: Violet! It’s time!
Y/n: Yeah, Vi. Join us in hell.
She came over chuckling at me.
Marlon: What’s the game tonight, Lou?
Louis: War. The oldest game around. A game played by man and beast alike. The only game there is.
Y/n: Yeah, apart from Twister, Monopoly, Cluedo…
Louis: Alright, alright, I think they get it.
Clementine: Sounds fun. How do we play?
