Chapter 14

~Christian's POV~

When I saw that Sarah and Carson were being paired together, I was worried. I didn't know what was going to happen. Mia was ok but she was a little pushy. "You and that weird new girl look a lot a like."

"Don't call her that and we are cousins."

"Are you sure? Cousins don't look so much a like."

"I'm pretty sure I know what I'm talking about."

"What ever. What are you going to do for the project?"

"This is a partner project. That means you have to do some of the work too."

"Whatever."

•ding dong•

She got up and went to Carson. I walked over to Sarah. "Are you ok?"

"Yeah I'm good. Let's go."

----------At lunch----------------------------

We got our food and headed over my table. "Sarah, I'd like you to meet my friends Erik, Brady and Anna. Don't start flirting with Brady either or she will kill you."

"Are they dating?"

"Yeah."

"Ok. Hi! I'm Sarah and I'm going to be crashing your party. If you don't like me, too bad for you."

They laughed. "Wait, isn't this the girl from history? Your cousin?" Erik asked.

"Yep."

"You guys look a lot a like," Brady said.

"Why does everyone keep saying that? We aren't even related. Oops."

Gosh Sarah. Couldn't even last for a day. "I guess Carson was right. I can't keep a secret," she mumbled.

I don't think anyone else heard her. They were all to busy catching flies. 'What did she mean about that? I'll ask her later,' I thought. "What do you mean you're not even related?" Anna asked.

"She's a friend. I met her at the park yesterday and she broke her foot. It was Carson's fault not mine. She asked me to take her to the hospital and of coarse I said yes. Then she said they had no place to live and no school to go to so now she's living with me and going to my school."

"Gosh Christian, you're so stupid. How do you know she isn't some bad guy?"

Sarah tensed up. Stupid Brady. "I trust her. By the way, me and Haley broke up."

"It's Haley and I you dimwit."

"Shut up Anna."

"Make me."

"Ok." With that I kissed her on the cheek. She literally screamed. "What was that for?!"

"You asked for it."

"Brady!"

"What. C'mon you did kinda ask for it. And congrats man. How's it feel?"

"Great! I'm a free man."

I really was happy. I've been trying to get away from her forever. She was really sweet but also very clingy. When I saw her cheat on me, I was just overwhelmed with all that was going on. I'm happy now though.

Everyone was staring at me. "What?"

"Sorry man, but you and Sarah just look so alike. You could be twins."

"Erik, I just met you but this is getting annoying. And I'm usually the annoying one!"

We all laughed except for Erik. He just crossed his arms and pouted. "Stop being such a baby Erik. It was just a joke."

"Or was it? How do you know I was joking Brad. Yep that's it."

"That's what?"

"Your new nick name. Wait, blonde. That's what I'm gonna call you."

I laughed. He hated being called that. "Hey don't laugh Crispy."

It was their turn to laugh. I pouted. "You let her call you that? That's not fair! You almost pulled out all my hair when I called you that," Erik said.

"Well you barely have any so why does it matter?"

That just kill me. I fell out of my seat and had tears running down my face. Erik had a look of hatred towards Sarah and Sarah was looking at us like we were crazy. "Erik I'm sorry you've had to deal with these aliens so long."

We were all on the floor now. We were getting looks from everyone in the room. Even Erik cracked a smile.

•ding dong•

"C'mon we all have to go to the same class. Let's go."

~Carson's POV~

Sarah and her new friends were laughing all through lunch. There was a time when they were all on the floor laughing. I would give anything to be over there with her. I'm happy that she is making friends, but I wish it were me who was introducing her to everyone.

I just can't get over the fact that Sarah and Christian look so much alike. I know they aren't cousins and that's a cover story, but is it possible that they're siblings? I doubt it.

When the bell rang, they all left together. I have the next class with them but not Mia. I said goodbye to her and ran off to class. I made it just in time. I looked around for Sarah but she wasn't in here. I sat down in the back as the teacher came in.

Sarah, Christian, Erik, Brady, and Anna came running through the door. "Late's for all of you," Mrs. Houd said without looking up.

"Please don't give them late's. It was my fault. I was taking forever with my crutches and I even fell down once. They were just being nice and waiting for me sense I didn't know where the classroom was."

"You should know where the classroom is. That is no excuse."

"I'm new here miss. This is my first day."

"Oh, my bad. Ok then I'll let it slip just this once but if it happens again I won't be so easy. My name is Mrs. Houd and I'll be your Science teacher. Go have a seat."

They ducked their heads and sat down. Sarah sat down in the front by Christian. What was it with those two? "Today we will be taking blood samples from ourselves. Partner up and get started. The directions are on page 549. You have until the end of class.

I tried to get up and get to Sarah, but Christian beat me to it. "Dang," I murmured to myself.
