Chapter 25

~Carson's POV~

I fell over and did a few somersaults. My leg was bleeding, but it wasn't too bad. I turned and saw Mia closing in on me. I tried to get up, but the pain was too much. I just laid there preparing myself for the worse."Well well well, you just had to give up so easily didn't you?"

I laid there with my eyes closed not responding to her question."I see how it is. You are too much of a wimp to admit that we won?"

Again I didn't open my mouth. "Alright, if that's how you want it to be so be it."

~Sarah's POV~

We were all just hanging out in Erik's hospital room talking about life. "What's going on between you and Carson?" Anna asked.

I sighed. "I don't know. I can't believe he didn't even come to see if I was okay."

"He was probably in shock that his girlfriend almost got hit by a car. Besides, it was probably like déjà vu for him."

"Then what was it for me? He didn't try to help me both times and someone ended up in the hospital both times. I can't help but feel like I'm a magnet for trouble."

"Sarah. you shouldn't think that way. It wasn't your fault. The first time was because you had a heart and this time was because of a drunk driver." Erik said.

"I know. I'm going to go get some food. Anyone else want to come?" I asked.

They shook their heads. I walked out of the room and saw a nurses running by a bed. I looked in the bed to see Carson with a breathing mask and blood all over his leg. I had to bite my tongue to keep from screaming. I ran after them not wanting to loose him from my sight.

They took him in a room and closed the door behind them. I looked through the window to see the doctors patching up his leg and head. 'What happened?' I thought to myself. I sat down outside his room just staring in head of me thinking about what happened. Soon enough I started to cry.

About fifteen minutes later a doctor came out. I got up. "Is he going to be okay?" I asked him.

He looked at me. "He is going to be fine. He's awake if you want to see him. Just make sure you are quiet."

I nodded and walked in. The sight before my eyes was horrible. Carson had his whole leg in a huge cast and he was wearing a breathing mask. He had bruises all over his face and it looked like it hurt for him to keep his eyes open. I ran to his side and started crying. "This is all my fault. I shouldn't have yelled at you like that. I should've stayed with you," I cried into his chest.

He shook his head and tried to speak, but he couldn't. "Shh, don't talk. Just get better."

I pulled a chair up to his side and held onto his hand. He motioned to me to come lay in bed with him. I got in the very uncomfortable bed and put my head on his chest. We were soon fast asleep.

~Christian's POV~

It's been fifteen minutes since Sarah went to go get food. The doctor came in and said that Erik should try to walk across the hospital. We left Sarah a note in case she came back and we were gone.

As we were guiding Erik down the halls, we overheard some nurses talking. "-Yeah she was laying in Carson's bed and they were both sound asleep."

We all looked at each other with wide eyes. Anna went up to one of the nurses. "Hi, sorry but do you mean Carson Lueders?"

"Yeah, he's in room 121-"

We didn't hear the rest. We went as fast as we could to room 121 to see Carson.

Soon enough we made it and opened the door to see Carson and Sarah cuddling in the bed fast asleep. "Should we wake them?" Brady asked.

"Sure, but don't do the screaming method. Just try to shake them awake," I said.

Brady got went over to the bed and had a evil look on his face. I quickly got in front of him. "Maybe I should do it."

Brady started to whine and pout. "She's my sister," I told him.

He sighed and backed up with the rest of the group. I leaned over the bed and started to shake Sarah lightly. "Sarah," I whispered in her ear. "It's time to get up."

She started to respond and turned around to face me. "Hi Christian," she said all sleepy like.

We all laughed and she rubbed her eyes looking at us. "How did you know I was here?" She asked.

"We over heard some nurses talking about how some girl was cuddling with Carson so we asked and she told us the room number," Anna explained.

Sarah started to blush. She turned around and woke up Carson. He opened his eyes and smiled. "Hey guys," Carson whispered.

"Are you okay? What happened?" Erik asked.

Carson tried to speak but couldn't. "He'll tell us when he is ready. Right not the doctor said he needed to rest and his voice should be back tomorrow," Sarah said.

"I think we should all go home and regroup tomorrow," I said looking at everyone who looked tired.

"Yeah. If all goes well I get out of here tomorrow," Erik said.

We said our good night to Carson and let him and Sarah have some time alone while we help Erik back to his room. After he got in bed, the rest of us headed downstairs to wait for Sarah. "I wonder what happened to Carson," Brady said.

We all nodded. Soon after Sarah came down and looked like she was about to collapse. Luckily I caught her just before her legs gave out from underneath her. We got into Anna's car and went home. 'Tomorrow is going to be a long day,' I thought to myself.
