I sat in my room, glad I hadn't run into Mom on the way in. I sighed. I had a dizzying headache. Maybe if I wrote everything that has happened down, my head wouldn't spin so much. I stood and looked through the bag I brought with me to the pizzeria. I looked through the largest section, my journal wasn't there. The outside pocket. No journal. The in-seam zipper. Still no journal. I tried to think of where I had put it last. I suddenly remembered putting it down on the floor in the office when Mike told me to stop writing. I hadn't picked it back up. I shivered, realizing that I'd have to go back there to get it.
My head pounded as my headache worsened. I ground my teeth together and pressed three fingers against my right temple. I sat down on my bed again. I laid back and jolted right back up when my brain felt like it did a back flip and failed the landing. I moaned and rubbed my head. I looked up and my vision blurred and I furrowed my eyebrows. I swayed and a large, lavender figure that seemed to be wearing bunny ears appeared in front of me. I blinked at the blurry figure and toppled over on my bed, unconscious.

When I opened my eyes again my headache was gone, thank god. I checked the time to make sure Alice was out of school, and I called her.
"What?" she said as soon as she picked up.
"Hey to you, too," I said sarcastically.
"Sorry, let me start over. Hi, Katrina! My wonderful and most amazing friend!" she was a little too cheerful.
"Aww, do you really mean that?"
"No, so what do you want?"
"I'm so very hurt," I said flatly, "and I, um, need you to take me to that pizza place, you know, Freddy Fazbear's. I can't really drive on my own since my car is... imaginary."
"Ha!" Alice laughed, "Yeah, sure, I'll have to go real quick though."
"Okay. Pick me up?"
"On my way," she hung up.
I sighed and dropped my phone on my bed. 'You shouldn't go,' a voice in the back of my head whispered. 'It'll be okay,' I thought, 'In and out in a snap. Grab 'n' go.' A flurry of fists pounded my door.
"What?" I groaned, hoping it wasn't Ma.
"Come on, you're the one who wanted to go to that creepy-ass place, get up," Alice called. I let out a breath of relief. I noticed that she took quite a while getting here. It was already 10 o'clock.
"It closes in an hour, we'd better get going," I said, throwing open my door and heading down the stairs out the front door with Alice in tow.
"You better make this quick," Alice said as she unlocked the car.
"Be back in a minute," I said as we arrived, and hurried into the building.
Inside, it wasn't as creepy because of the daylight shining through the glass doors. I stopped and looked down the hall, trying to remember the way to the office. I elected to turn left. I found myself in a party room, with long tables and balloons and streamers spread disorderly about the room. I sighed. 'Not here.' I turned back and went the other way. I was in a small room (it's purpose was not obvious), but it had a large poster in the corner of the bear. . . ripping its head off, some strings were still attached between its head and neck.
"Creepy . . ." I muttered, turning out of the room as quickly as possible.
I continued down through the building, finding an abundance of odd rooms, and normal rooms, for a party themed place. I sighed and checked my black watch. 11:40. I'd have to find the office soon because if I get stuck out here at midnight, I'd probably . . .
I shook my head, trying not to think about it, and strode forward. Luckily, the next room I found was the office. I breathed a sigh of relief and startled a man who was sitting in the chair that Mike usually sat in, he was holding the same tablet too.
"Oh, I thought you were someone else," the man said. He was dressed in the same type of uniform Mike wore, except it was purple. Everything was purple. He even had a purple streak in his black hair.
"Oh, I, um, I didn't mean to startle you," I responded, "Who did you think I was?" I randomly asked.
"Freddy or Bonnie or Chica or Foxy," the man shrugged and tugged down his purple cap that read 'Day Guard'.
"Who?" I leaned forward at the odd names.
"The animatronics. Freddy is the bear, Bonnie is the bunny, Chica is the chicken, and Foxy is the fox," the man said impatiently, as if I were supposed to know this.
"Wait, what about the duck?"
"Duck?" I nodded. "Oh," Day Guard--I decided to call him that--leaned back in his chair, "yeah, a lot of people actually think Chica looks like some kind of deranged duck, but, it's actually supposed to be a chicken."
"Oh. Well, anyway, have you seen a journal in here?" I asked, remembering my purpose.
"Yeah, actually, I put it over there on the desk."
"Okay, thanks," I went to the desk and picked up my journal. I set my fingers on top of it and a thought raced through my mind. Blood rushed to my face. "Uh, y-you didn't r-read it right?"
"Huh? Oh, nah," Day Guard said flatly. "Well," Day Guard suddenly stood up, "My shift's just about done, you should probably head home. Bye!" he smiled and waved as he started to leave.
"Wait!" I called after him, "What's your name?"
Day Guard leaned back through the door, grinned, and said, "I don't feel like telling you."
"Could you tell me something about you, at least?" I asked, for some reason, wanting-needing-to know something about him.
"I like..." he said, letting his head roll back and looking down at me, "the color purple." He swiftly pulled himself upright and swung himself around the door opening, into the hallway, and out of the building.
I shivered and stared after him, wondering why I recognized his voice. I shrugged and checked my watch again. It was 11:58. I cursed under my breath and started to run for the exit. 'Please, please, please be there still Alice."
"Woah," a voice said when I rammed right into them. They held me out at arms length and I realized that I had run into Mike. Mike's eyes widened when he saw me.
"What are you doing here?!"
"I-" I stopped myself, realizing how angry he looked. I looked at my shoes, "It's not like I actually wanted to be here now."
"I don't know how you got here. There aren't any cars in the parking lot," Mike narrowed his eyes at me, "Did you walk?"
"No, I- wait, you said there were no other cars?" I asked. Mike nodded once. "Then she left me," I ran a hand down my face. I felt my watch against my cheek and looked at the time again. My eyes widened.
"Uh, Mike? It's 12:04." I said. Mike sucked in a breath through his teeth and grabbed my arm. We ran to the office as fast as we could. Well, okay, he ran, and I stumbled behind him. Mike turned off the phone when it rang and a message had begun to run.
I suddenly remembered the day guard's voice. It sounded exactly like the phone guy's voice.
"Hey, do you know the day guar-" I started.
"Shush," Mike whispered. He walked over to the fan and turned it off.
"Why did you do that?" I asked.
"Power," Mike snapped. He had reverted to his snappy, few-worded self.
There were footsteps in the right hall and I quickly closed the door. More footsteps sounded in the other hall. Almost as soon as soon as I reached the door, I came face to face with the large figure I had seen before, when I had a really bad headache. I stared at the animatronic, trying to match it with a name. Its magenta eyes glowed and blinked at me, the rest of its body was shrouded in darkness. I could barely see its color.
When I noticed its bunny like ears, attached at the joints with metal rods, I finally remembered what the day guard had told me. Bonnie. The figure's name is Bonnie.
