A week prior.
A loud explosion could be heard through out the city, Micah looked up from their newspaper at the sound of the explosion. "Never a boring day in Demolition" they mumbled out loud running towards the black plum of smoke in the air. Any other sane person would have run away from danger but not Micah, after all they were a hero. It was expected that they would safe the day after all. Unlike other superhero characters Micah did not have a stupid costume they changed into magically, no their hoodie, and their unwashed blue jeans would have to do for now. There was no point in hiding their identity because they had nothing to hide after all.
By following the screaming people and the smoke soon led Micah to the mayor's office, a car had been crashed into the wall underneath the window leading to the mayor's private office. A man was standing on top of the car laughing as the engine caught fire, "Hey get off the-" Micah yelled as a warning before they were flipped off by Icarus who had a huge smirk on his face. "Awh are you worried for me Romeo?" the male taunted. "As if." Micah replied before they quickly went inside the building to get any victims out of the building before it completely burned down because of Icarus and his goons. "oh no, not so quick hero. I wasn't finished yet." Icarus said pointing his gun at them. "Oh, don't miss me too much then." Micah kicked the car as hard as they could making Icarus lose his balance which bought them enough time to run inside as soon as they got inside they could hear the gun fire behind them. Micah had to be quick before Icarus caught them, they quickly ran inside hiding behind the first corner they could find to come up with a plan.
"Don't hide from me Micah I know you're here. These people deserve to be here after what they did." Micah held their breath as they heard Icarus approach, just because they were a so-called superhero did not mean they had flawless plans. "I don't agree with you but that's not something new. What did they do wrong this time?" Micah taunted back taking a deep breath as they continued to move forward. "Where do I start?" Icarus his laughter was heard through the hall which told Micah he was closer than they had thought. "Kicking out the families of the east block. Locking up innocent people" Icarus slowly moved forward listening for the footsteps of Micah who was clearly trying to find victims within the building to once again be a hero. "The east block is being renovated and just because the police locked up some of your so-called innocent buddies doesn't mean you get to throw a tantrum angel" Micah called back earning a scoff from Icarus. "Don't worry about my friends I will get them out of ther- yeah just like you did last time. How did that work out for you? Micah interrupted him as usual. It did not take long, or Micah had actually walked straight into his trap. Icarus had backed Micah into a corner, there were no people inside except for well his friends who were all armed. Micah stood in the middle of the room completely surrounded by the gang, "you just had to be the hero didn't you?" Icarus asked as he punched them in the gut making them fall to the ground. He grabbed their chin making them look up.
"haven't you learned yet? Heroes don't win every time."
