Chapter 13: The Truth

An awkward silence was around the table.
Lu was supposed to help but his eyes was just looking at Sehun and forgot how to talk.
Kris slightly got annoyed at the silence. Although he loved look at Suho nonstop but right now he needed to hear a voice.

" So... " he readjust in his seat. Everyone looked at him.

" We're here to talk, right? "

" I didn't expect things to turn out this way..." Suho tried explained.

" Hey it's not your fault. " Sehun protested. Junmyeon squeezed his hand signing to keep silent.

" I'm sure none of us intend to or expected to... " Lu smiled at him. He really got a good vibe from the singer. The guy smile was warm and friendly.

" But it happened. We just need to get things straight between us so we can give out the statement. "

" I don't think there's much to talk about. Since we all know the lyrics aren't about you... " Sehun started.

" Sure... " Kris tried to dudge Sehun attack.
The situation made Luhan laugh silently. Sehun was way too aggressive for the first meeting that it made the tough Kris have awkward reaction.

" So shall we talk about the statement? " Lu tried to rescue his best friend.

" Shouldn't Jane be here for that? "

" I think it's risky for Jane and Kris to be together. We can settle it between ourselves then I'll talk to her. "

Sehun nodded in understanding.

" Is that OK with you, Suho? " Kris asked Junmyeon who was silent till now.

" Sure.... " Suho whispered so low that it was hard to hear even for Sehun sitting next to him.

" So let's list things we should mention. I think the first one should be that Suho wrote the lyrics not Jane. "

" Then we go on by saying Kris and Suho never knew each other before this incident. " Sehun tried to emphasize this point a lot. He really could be a manager if he ever needed a second job. After Lu nodded in agreement he continued.

" To sum it up, there's no way those lyrics are about your relationship. "

" We're not writing that. " Junmyeon's gaze was down. He wasn't looking at any person around the table and was playing with his fingers but his voice came out firm and serious. All three looked at him with confusion.

" What? "

" I said we're not going to write that. " he said louder but more serious.

" Why not? "

" I've never lied to my fans... "

" Where's the lie? You guys didn't know each other before...." Lu asked confused. Kris just kept his eyes on Suho silently. The guy's head was down all this long so he couldn't see his eyes to guess what he's thinking.

" That's not the lie... " Junmyeon raised his head and looked at Kris eyes.

" I'm sorry Kris. But... But the truth is the lyrics actually ARE about that night. "

" WHAT????? "
Junmyeon wanted to keep his eyes on Kris to see his reaction but Sehun shout was too loud that he had to close his eyes to regain his focus.
