Two figures circled eachother one a young woman with auburn hair that swayed in the air just as the grass did. Her amber eye's watched her opponent a robotic looking figure one covered in a sleek grey with dim green light radiating from the figure.
Not a word was spoken between the two as they continued to circle eachother the auburn haired girl keeping her eyes on the man's mask.
The masked figure however was watching every move she made from the way she looked at him to the way she walked and the way she held her own sword. Though it was just training in his mind using real weapons was far more effective than some wooden stick.
"You walk like a child straight out of the womb" his voice was distorted, robotic but human a combination that made it distinct from anyone else. In one swift motion he was in front of her, a short sword to her neck "if you can't land one hit on me you'll never be able to use your imperial arms that is if you get one" he sheathed his sword, turning his back to her and begining to walk away.
The sound of metal clashing against metal boomed through the garden "have you no honor?" The man asked, turning his head towards her the green light of his visor looking at her as his sword blocked the would be slash to his back.
Pushing her blade back he spun around and kicked her in the stomach, knocking her away as she slid across the grass. "You say you want be become a hero, somebody who fights for honor and justice but you fight like a common criminal" her gaze narrowed at him as she raised her sword once again, pointing it towards him.
"Your father would be disappointed" her eyes widened in shock as the man before her spoke of her late father his tone riddled with not anger but disappointment.
"How dare you!" She growled out her grip on her large sword tightening as she lunged at her mentor wildly swinging sparks flying between the two as the elder of the two easily blocked her attacks "you fight like a scared animal!" He continues his insults, his short sword blocking any and all attacks she could throw at him.
She let out another growl launching a heavy overhead swing with her large sword that was redirected, pinning her sword to the ground "you're nothing but a child with no sense of honour and to say you know how to weald a sword is a joke!" He sent a kick to her stomach, once again launching her across the field with no weapon.
He sheathed his sword, waiting for his apprentice's next move "stand down suryu, final warning" he warned her his gaze not leaving her for a second.
The auburn haired girl shakily stood up, holding her stomach feeling at least two ribs broken, her face was pale as she nearly threw up then and there "I will make my father proud" she struggled to get the words out.
"Then you will die a fool" his tone darkened as he reached for the katana on his back, taking a stance green mist began spewing from the sheath "but before that I shall grant you the honour of tasting my imperial arms" the green mist increases as he unsheathes his sword, a green dragon beginning to form "Ryujin no ken wo kurae!"
Suryu's eye's widened in both amazement and horror as the green dragon flew towards her, the ground shaking and cracking the wind picking up as the air around her grew thin and just before it hit her the dragon disappeared dispersing into neon green flakes of energy.
He sheathed the katana, aproching his stunned apprentice "do you now understand the gap in power between a simple animal like you and a wielder of an imperial arms?" The stunned amber eyed girl nodded her head, her face frozen in the contortion of shock and horror.
Over the years that philosophy was drilled and beaten into her, that honour and justice should be the only thing a person of power should focus on but as the young girl turned to a young woman the honour was lost her own philosophy was born one of a twisted sense of right and wrong one of black and white with no room for honour the good was the good and the bad was the bad no Inbetween and no consideration for circumstance and that's where the two clashed for you see that is where the two ideologies clashed and where the master and apprentice would seperate. Because after the horror's of the empire were revealed to the two one was so deluded with the idea of the empire being some form of holy power that could do no wrong the other was not blind to the truths of the world he found himself in.
And so that's where the two met, for the final time. The two stood off against eachother the apprentice now accompanied by her imperial arms, a short dog that stood on two legs, beside the man stood a shorter girl dressed in pink who held a gun at least twice her size.
The smaller pink haired girl held a harsh glare towards his former apprentice. She took a single step forward, raising her large rife towards suryu before Y/n held his had up telling her to stop "mine, this is something I must do on my own" mine looked at him a confused and a somewhat betrayed look on her face "but what about sheele?!" The pink short girl argued.
"Your friend shall be avenged as will my honour as a mentor" mine was about to protest against him once again but was stopped as he took a singular step forward and another before he was ten meters in front of his old apprentice
"Syuru" he called to the young woman, his robotic voice all too familiar to her "I failed you as a master" he took a stance, his hand on the short sword that was on his lower back "I will not make that mistake a second time" the dog growled as suryus' twisted and sick smile turned to a frown though her eyes held a deep hatred for the man before her.
"Coro! Kill him!" She commanded her imperial arms with an aura of authority like no other. The mutt twisted and twitched convulsing and changing into a large beast that was at least three times Y/n's size at the least. The beast charged towards him
Y/n's hidden gaze analysing the imperial arms before him "an organic type" he muttered to himself as the dog got closer. He leaped into the air, in a flash he'd spun and delivered an over head kick to the skull of the beast, his mechanical body making it stumble and trip.
The girl's glare harshed as the aimed her two machine pistols at him a flurry of bullets soon following to which he easily blocked, redirecting them back towards her with his sword.
"You have become the very thing you swore to destroy, my apprentice. In your pursuit of justice against evil you have turned yourself into such a vile person" he approached her, still deflecting the bullets the gap between them ever closing as the beasts skull was fractured and bleeding heavily.
She was begining to panic her thoughts racing but incoherent as she was hit by her own bullets "you know nothing of what I am!" She argued stopping her fire for a mere second and in that mere second he had brung his sword to her throat like all those years ago.
"I know enough to know I have failed you" the last words she heard were the ones of someone who once loved her like a daughter as the metallic blade slide across her throat moon lit blood smothering it in a sick embrace.
