Chapter 8

"Yah! I could pay for it, you know?" I said to him as he gave me the paper bag. 

"I didn't say you couldn't. I just want to pay it for you." He said and smiled at me and left me speechless. 

I just shrugged it off and went to his mom. 

And I saw her just scanning around the store.

"Do you need to buy more, auntie?" I asked her.

"No, I just check these out." She said and point at the bags in front of her. 

I didn't say anything but instead, I just waited for her to finish. 

"Why don't we eat bingsu first before you go back?" She asked me with those eyes that we cannot just ignore. 

"Sure, auntie but I really have to go after, okay?" I said and she smiled at me widely. 

"Okay okay. I understand." She said and clung onto my arm and we lead the way to the Bingsu shop.

BINGSU SHOP

"What do you want to have Sooyoungie?" Jungkook asked me as we reached the counter. 

"Matcha bingsu would be great." I said to him and smiled. He nodded and looked at Yerim. 

Yerim didn't know he was looking and she's just kept on looking at the menu. 

"Mango?" Jungkook asked out of nowhere which caused Yerim to look at him. 

She smiled at him and nodded.

He knows her. 

"You? What would you like to have?" She asked her. Kookie looked at me and at the menu. 

"Injeolmi, I think." He said. 

"You don't like that, right?" Yerim asked in shock. 

Huh? We used to eat that a lot. It's impossible for him to hate it. 

Jungkook looked at her and took a deep breath. 

"It's one of my favorite. I just stopped eating it." He said and went to the cashier. 

And suddenly it just got into me. Maybe we made too many memories while eating it to the point that he stopped eating it. 

I went to the table and let Yerim and Jungkook order for us. 

"Auntie~" I greeted as soon as I reached our table. 

"Oh Sooyoungie~ I really missed you." She said lovingly. 

"Same here, auntie. How are you and Yerim?" I asked since I haven't noticed any interaction really. 

I saw her expression change. 

"We are fine but it's just that I cannot help but not to compare her to you. You know how much I adore you and when the time Jungkook said that you guys are dating, I am so happy." She explained calmly. 

I just couldn't help but feel sad. I mean, I was so happy when I was with Jungkook but we all know that sometimes things do happen unexpectedly.

I just smiled at her since I saw Yerim and Kookie coming and I don't want to prolong the topic anymore. 

"Here's our bingsu..." Jungkook said as he placed our Bingsu in front of us. 

Caramel cookie for auntie, Mango for Yerim, Matcha for me, and Injeolmi for Kook but what surprises me more is when Jungkook gave me 2 spoons. 

I looked at him questionably and raised the spoons. He let out a small laugh and sat down before answering me. 

"I know you also like Injeolmi. I don't mind sharing." He said to me and smile. 

Oh he still remembers. 

FLASHBACK

I was looking at Kookie who's happily eating his Bingsu. It looks so delicious. Mine is also good, I got Matcha with Red Bean but the Injeolmi~~~

"Babe, what's wrong? Is there something in your bingsu?" He asked worriedly. 

I shook my head as a no. 

"Then what's with the long face?" He asked and stopped eating. 

I'm actually kinda hesitant to tell him but he's my boyfriend anyways. 

"Yours looks delicious as well." I hesitantly said. 

He smiled at me and moved his food towards me. 

"You can just say it! Here, let's share." He said and reached for my head and messed it a little bit. 

I smiled widely and took a spoonful of his food. It is indeed yuuum!!

And since that day, we always have injeolmi bingsu in combination with other flavors. 

END OF FLASHBACK

I moved mine towards him. He looked at me. 

"Let's share." I said and I get a spoonful of injeolmi. 

I saw him smiled and get from mine as well. 

I'm just happy that we are finally back on speaking terms. The friendship that we built is difficult to replace as when I was at my lowest he was there. 

It's just that fate is not in our favor and with that thought, I suddenly looked at Yerim. 

Something is in me and I suddenly froze from what I am doing which was I am sure noticeable because Jungkook noticed it. 

"Why?" He asked in a low tone. 

I did not respond at all but my sight did not leave Yerim. 

She looked at me with hurtful eyes. 

"Uh, I'm so sorry Yerim." I said as I put down my spoon. 

"Auntie, I have to go. Jungkook and Yerim, see you around." I said and grabbed my bag and immediately left the bingsu store. 

I went back to Seulgi eonnie's company but before I go to her office. I went to the restroom first. 

I got so carried away by our reconciliation that I forgot Yerim's feelings.
