Chapter One: Meet Sage Frost

[Sage's POV]

"Hybrid?" Little Sage thought, "I'm a vampire/werewolf hybrid."

"How?" Little me asked.

"Well sweetie, Daddy is a vampire and I'm a werewolf. Together we made you, our beautiful hybrid Sage," my mom, Lisanna, said to me.

I giggled and ran to my parents. I gave them big hugs.

"I luv you mommy! And I luv you daddy!" Little me screamed in happiness.

"Haha. We love you too, sweetheart," my father said chuckling.

[Flashback Over]

I smiled at the memory. I missed my parents, but I know they are watchin' out for me.

You wonder why I miss them, don't you? Well might as well tell you.

[Flashback]

"Hey mom, lookie here I brought you some wild flowers," 17 year old me said with a handful of flowers.

"Oh sweetheart, thanks. And hey can you go get your father, he is working on that rusty old motorcycle again," my mom said putting the flowers in a vase, and sitting them on the kitchen table.

"Sure," I replied heading to the garage to retrieve my father. I opened the garage door and went down the creaky stairs.

"We really need to do something about these stairs, before someone falls through," I thought, carefully making my way down the stairs.

I made my way around the corner to see my dad working on the motorcycle.

"Hey dad," I said, surprising him, leading him to dropping the wrench on his face. I bursted out laughing at what I just witnessed.

"Ow, Sage! Don't surprise me like that," he said looking at me, trying to be mad but failed. He started laughing too.

"Sorry. Mom told me to come get you, dinner time," I say calming down from my laughing fit.

"Dinner! Finally! I'm starving!" He said getting up from under the motorcycle. He wipped his hands off and walked past me up the stairs.

I followed close behind.

We were soon all sitting down at the table eating dinner, when the Alpha shouted through the mind link.

"Vampires!"

Just then, our front door was busted open and vampires flooded in.

"Don't kill the hybrid! Kill anyone who dares to stand in our way of her," the leader of the vampires said, pointing straight at me.

"Sage, go! Now!" My mother screamed at me.

"No! I won't leave you guys! I'll help fight," I screamed back, killing a nearby vampire.

Slash. I hissed in pain. I turned around to look at who scratched my arm. I growled at the vampire.

"Don't touch her, you filthy vampire!" My mom yelled, and pounced on the vampire. She ripped his head off, killing him.

"Lisanna watch out!" My dad yelled jumping over my mom and tackling a vampire.

Two more vampires appoarched me, I growled and shifted into my wolf. I was the only wolf with white fur with golden eyes.

I jumped toward the right vampire, pushing him down to ground and ripping his head off. The other vampire grabbed me and threw me against the wall.

"Ouch, ok that hurt," I thought getting back up.

The vampire ran at me, I jumped up over him and landed behind him. I jumped up towards his neck. Before I could kill him, I was tackled again by another vampire.

It was the leader.

"Watch your beloved parents die, Sage," he smiled wickedly.

I turned my head to see that four vampires each had my parents held down.

"No! Stop! Let them go!" I screamed trying to get to my parents.

"We love you, Sage," both my parents mouthed before two vampires broke their necks. And set them on fire.

"NO!" I screamed, tears rain down my face. I bend over and held my head, crying.

I looked up in hatred at the vampires. I growled and broke free of the vampires hold on me, and jumped at the leader.

"Someone grab her, get her off of me!" The leader cried.

I was pulled off the leader and shoved to the ground. They held me down. Leader stood up and came near me.

I growled at him.

"Better shut that muzzle of yours, if I were you," the leader warned.

"What do you want!" I growled at him.

"Oh sweet Sage. Haven't you heard? Your destined to be bounded to our prince, Xavier Knight," he smirked looking at me.

"Your lying!" I yelled, "I would never be his highnesses mate!"

"Oh, but that's where your wrong Sage. Your destined to be his beloved mate," the leader said,"Oh look at the time, it's time to leave. Just remember Sage, your destined. You can't run away from this."

Then the next second, they were all gone. It was just me and the two dead bodies of my parents.

"No..." I whispered, looking at my parents. I refuse.

I think of what my dad had told me, "If things appear dark, and you can't handle the fear. Run Sage, run from the darkness that cease to take you."

I didn't leave until I had buried my parents and said my respects.

When that was over, I ran.

I ran from my parents death, the darkness, the sadness, and mostly my destiny.

[Flashback Over]

Tragic. But I still run from my destiny. I don't want nothing involving the prince.

Have I forgotten? Oh yes. I'm Sage Frost, vampire/werewolf hybrid. I'm a rogue running from my own destiny.
