Chapter 5: "Me Make Big Fire"

[Sage's POV]

"Haha and here you said that we wouldn't capture you," Roy says smugly.

"Oh like you caught me," I said rolling my eyes.

Roy scoffs, "I chased you, thank you very much."

"Oh! Like that is such a big deal," I said laughing in disbelief.

"For your information, it was for me," Roy says offended.

"Shut up you numb," says Zane slapping Roy on the back of the head.

"What the hell was that for?" Roy exclaims turning around with much speed to stand off to Zane.

Before either of them got to say anything else, Xavier said, "Enough! We will camp here for the night!"

Well if you haven't noticed yet, but I've been captured by the one and only Xavier. They handcuffed my hands and now we are heading back to the kingdom. Since I refused to run back with my vampire speed, they decided we would just simply walk back. So here we are now.

"I'll make the fire! I'm good at this!" Roy says excitedly jumping up and running off to collect the wood.

"I bet that's the only thing he's good at," I mumbled to myself snickering.

I look over at Xavier and Zane who were quietly talking amongst themselves. I would eavesdrop, but that feels weirdly wrong.

"What are you doing?!" says Fawn.

"What are you taking about?" I say.

"We should escape, they aren't paying attention," Nova says.

I look back at the two boys and notice that they were right. I slowly creep away.

"Where the hell do you think you are going, hm?" I hear a voice say from behind me. I turn around and see Roy standing there all smugly, smirking at me.

"I'm going pee, duh!" I say mentally laughing inside at his stupidity.

"O-oh uh you go ahead and do your lady business," Roy said awkwardly looking everywhere but my eyes.

I snicker, but freeze the next second by what he says next.

"Try to pee quietly," Roy says in a whisper.

[Flashback]

"Shut up, Roy. You pee longer than me anyways," Zane says.

"No I don't... (Silence)... How the hell would you know?!" Roy questions.

"Dude, we are on a search with no bathrooms around. And I can hear everything... I'm just gonna stop there," I hear Zane say.

[Flashback Over]

I shudder at that memory.

"Uh ok," I say and slowly inch my way away from him.

"Don't be to long now," he winked at me and walked away.

"The fuck just happen?" Nova says confused.

"I don't -" before I could finished my sentence I heard a really familiar voice.

"For a third-in-command, he surely believes your bad excuse for a lie."

"Fuck," I thought.

I turned around to see Xavier. I sheepishly smile.

"What lie is that?" I dumbly ask.

"Haha very fun, you should be a comedian. Come on," Xavier says grabbing my arm and walking back to camp.

"You ruined my fun," I say pouting my bottom lip out.

Xavier stops walking which stops me, I look at him confusingly only to see him staring at my lips. He raises his hand up to my lips and his thumb traces my bottom lip. My heart starts to race.

"What is happening? Is he gonna kiss me? *Gasp* Are we going to kiss?" I thought panickly.

Xavier starts to lean forward towards my face. My breath catches. He slowly inches closer. The inticapation starts growing. Before Xavier's lips could touch mine. Roy popped out of nowhere.

"Ready for a good old fashion bombfire!"

Xavier steps away from me, I felt a sense of disappointment that he didn't kiss me.

"I shouldn't feel like this! Stop Sage, you hate him!" I thought to myself.

"Way to ruin a possible moment idiot!" Zane says popping out of nowhere also and dragging Roy away by the ear back to camp.

Xavier leads me back to the camp.

"Ok, you guys ready for this! Me make big fire!" He says lowering his voice. He starts rubbing to sticks together. A spark appears and then dies out.

"Hahaha, oh god that was some fire!" Zane says dieing of laughter on the ground.

I snicker and Xavier smiles and shakes his head.

"Truly disappointing," Zane says.

"Shut up Zane! Like you could of done better!" Roy yells pointing the stick at Zane.

"Ok, then let me try," Zane says getting up.

"Nooo! I'm doing this!" Roy whines holding onto the sticks for dear life.

Roy perceeds to make a everlasting spark. On his 5th try, he makes fire!

"Ohhh yes! Finally! Take that Zane!" Roy yells and then dabs.

We laugh at Roy.

"We are never going camping again," Roy says, "That was so tiring!"

"But yet, we are camping now," I say in a matter-of-fact tone.

"Well yeah but... Shut up! Your are prisoner! No speaking for you!" Roy says.

I flip him off. He scoffs and looks at Xavier.

"You need to control your girl cuz damn," Roy says, "This is getting to stressful. I'm going to bed."

"Ha don't let the bugs bit," I snort.

Soon Zane goes to bed, and it's just me and Xavier.

"Sleep, mi amor," Xavier says in a soft voice.

Some weird force came over me making me sleepy. I got a feeling it deals with the mate bond. I look at Xavier not wanting to sleep.

"You will be safe, amor. Go to sleep," he says in the same soothing voice.

I curl up into a ball on the ground, and fall into a soundless sleep.
