{A/N: First Chapter! As always I hope you enjoy it :] I wrote this all in one sitting so there may be some typos I notice and change later on. Let's goooooo}

I hear the stone doors shut with a loud thump behind me, keeping my eyes focused on the ground as I make my way forward towards the throne. I'd say I'm not sure why I've been called for this time, but I am well aware of my own actions.
"Ingrid..." I hear Odin grumble as I come to a halt and finally look up, painfully eyeing the man- sorry, God- before me. A false wide grin quickly plastered on my face as I raise my hands and motion towards him.
"Father!" I belt out joyfully, keeping the smile on my face as I bring my hands back down to my sides.
"You know why you're here, stop smiling," he gripes out again. Wow, not in a good mood today, noted. I wipe the smile off my face and give an apologetic look instead, one I know that even in his worst of moods would halt any punishment he was conjuring up.
Staying silent was never a smart choice, but I had no words to say.
Pinching the bridge of his nose and sighing loudly, "Why did you sabotage another suitor, Ingrid? He comes from a great family and would have been perfect!"
"It was Sif's idea!" I'm quick to counteract. Though I was trying to change the fault, it was still the truth. Placing a snake in Lord Arnis' chambers was Sif's idea, I just did the dirty work... which I guess was technically worse.
"I-" He sighed again, "I don't know what to do with you anymore." He sounded defeated, leaving me with a worse sense of guilt. I know he's just trying to distract me from Loki's constant bickering, and genuinely find me a good suitor, but it's not what I want. I want to live my life with no bounds, as Thor does.
It's truly unfair. Thor gets to deny his duty to the crown and still do whatever he pleases. Loki mostly gets to be free too, as long as he does nothing stupid. Which surprisingly as of late, he hasn't.
However, I have to find a husband and do my duties as a princess, blah.
"Go," He finally cuts the brief silence, "I'll think about this, go rest."
Nodding, I turn around to leave. Hearing a scream out in the hallway halts my movement, my head snaps back to look at my father and he stands following me. My wrist turning and a dagger quickly appearing in my hand, the doors open to reveal an absolute buffoon helping a handmaid clean up broken glass on the floor. We both cleared our throats to let the idiot know we were here.
Thor looked up, a smile immediately made its way onto his face as he saw me, my expression mirroring.
"Sister!" He greeted me, holding his arms open and stepping towards me. I quickly complied and cleared the distance in a single step forward of my own, engulfing him in a hug.
"Good to see you home in one piece, brother." I pulled back and pat my hands on both of his shoulders before turning to our father.
"Why was there a scream?" He paid no attention to Thor's return and glanced at the maid who was finally walking away.
"Well you see, it's a funny story." He smiled and turned, pointing with his hammer at the broken window we failed to notice before. "I thought the window was open, it's always open you know? Anyways, the lady was standing just in front of it as I flew through and the glass broke, startling her." Finishing his story he looked to Odin, seeing an unamused, rather angry face that made him frown. "Sorry, Father..."
