Chapter 12 You Promised.

•Sam's pov•
When I pulled up in my driveway I was surprised to see that no one was home. I was actually relived because that means no interruptions during mine & Lauren's project. It was a big project and I'm really not looking forward to it.
I sat down on the couch & started watching tv. By the time I knew it , 7:00 came fast. I grabbed my keys & drove to Lauren's house. Once I got there I sent her a text to let her know I was outside. I quickly fixed my hair & put on some cologne. Lauren walked out of the house with her bag , she looked amazing. I opened the door for her from the inside & she jumped in. "Hey" she said smiling. I flashed her a smile. We drove for about 5 mins until we reached a red light. Lauren had her window rolled down & a pickup truck with a whole group of boys from our school rolled up beside us. "hey sexy , wanna show us that ass" they hollered. Lauren flipped them off & i clenched my jaw. "Ouff I like them sassy can I tap that?" one says back. I turn over & yell "how about you assholes go find someone else to fuck with?! talk to her like that again & it's going to be the last thing you'll ever say" . Just as I said that the light went green & I sped off to my house. Lauren stayed quite the whole ride to my house after that. Once I pulled up to my driveway happy to find that no one was home still. I got out of the car and Waited for Lauren to get out so I could lock it. I locked my car and we both walked up to my door. I unlocked the door & she put her stuff down as I took my coat off and put my keys away. "Um so where did you want to work on this?" she asked "uh upstairs I have my laptop up there so its easier" which was honestly the truth and I really didn't need my parents coming home seeing Lauren & making assumptions that we were back together. She nodded and we went up to my room. She sat down on my bed and looked around my room. "This brings back so much memories" she says & I smiled at her. "the best memories.." I said. "um yeah well I wanted to thank you for what you said back there" she said to me looking down embarrassed. "don't worry about it , I didn't like the way they were talking to you so I said something" I replied. "Well thanks anyway , um let's start with the list of stuff we need to do this" she said taking out a sheet of paper along with a pen. She started to dot down what we needed & I couldn't help but realize how beautiful she looked. Just as I did she got a text from Cameron it read "Lauren we should do that more often , you were great;)" what the actual fuck is he talking about. "Lauren what the fuck is he talking about?!" I snapped I know I shouldn't of read it but her phone was right beside me. "None of your business Sam" she snaps. "Lauren tell me you didn't sleep with him" I growled clenching my jaw. "Sam honestly , do you think that low of me?! & even if I were to how does that effect you?! , You're the one who left me okay ? . you promised you wouldn't & you did so its none of your business anymore." she yelled at me. "Lauren watch it. I growled. "Or else what Sam?! you can't tell me what to do" she got up in my face. I pushed her up against the wall with my hands on both sides of her. "I don't think that low of you Lauren. & we've already been through this I never wanted to leave or ever planned to you fucking made me. I know I made a huge mistake that I regret so fucking much. I promised & you made me break it" I yelled. "oh & I made you cheat too right?! Sam I really cared for you" she said looking down. "I leaned closer to her so that my forehead was on hers "Lauren I know that this isn't an excuse but you knew I was drunk why out of all people would I cheat on you with Britney?!. Lauren I still care." I said feeling my breath on hers. she flickered her eyes up to my lips & than looked down at her feet. "I-uh my mom needs me home to take care of Kristina-" she started saying but I cut her off. "Lauren cut the bullshit" "I didn't sleep with Cam we went to the arcade the other day with Kristina & I played a few games that's why he said I was good" she said moving closer to me. "Fucking good if he ever lays a finger on you again or anything I swear-" I started saying before she cut me off "Once again you have no business between us!" she yells in my face. "LAUREN I FUCKING CARE THATS WHY OKAY" I yell punching the wall beside her head. She jumped as I had scared her. "Sam I care about you too . don't think for a second that I don't because I do please just stop with all of this Cameron bullshit we're Friends" she breathed. I looked down at her lips & bit mine. I just wanted to kiss her lips I missed. "Just let it go" I said. "Sam let what go?! you know I still & probably will always care for you don't be a fucking dick!" she yelled at me. "Lauren I care so much about you & that's why it's best to not be around you." I say. "Sam I should go we can work on the project tomorrow" she said. I moved so she could get out of my hold & she grabbed her books. I grabbed my keys & we headed out to my car. I opened the car door & she hopped in. I got in also & started the car. After about 10 minutes I pulled up to her driveway. She got out & I walked her to the door. Before she got in she was against the door & I put my hands above her head on both sides of the door. "Look Lauren I'm so sorry for ever hurting you." I said looking down at her face. She just smiled. Oh I missed that smile. "Good night Sam" she said while leaning over & kissing my cheek.
