6: So close yet so far

Yeonjun POV:

A Carnival.

Yes, i took all the members out to enjoy the beauty of a carnival. We used to go to carnivals so often when we were trainees. But ever since we started working under HYBE, things changed.

We got busier. Our schedule's always packed and our time always spent in headquarters, or in battle. We barely even spend any time for each other anymore. A carnival was the best choice to have fun. Especially during times like these, with Soobin's situation and all.

Everyone finally had smiles on their faces. Huening kai finally letting out his signature dolphin laugh that I'm sure had been missed by all the members. We were able to play a couple of carnival games. winning a plushie or two, Huening kai claiming them all of course. One of the games was of course, the iconic ring toss. We barely got any luck on that game. We've been good so far with the other games, but the ring toss has some sort of problem with us. "ONE MORE TIME HYUNG PLEASEE!? My pride won't allow us to lose to such game! I will win!" I sighed, handing over another dollar to the guy running the stand. With the amount of times we attempted to win at the game, the owner of the game has already gotten 10 dollars in his hands.

Taehyun eyed the bottles that were perfectly set up in front of him. His gaze like a wild beast spying over it's prey. It was honestly quite scary. He took all three of his attempts, and finally, was able to win us another plushie that was going to be coming home with us. "Hyung! Did you see that?! I did it! Another win for us!" I gave Taehyun a wide smile and simply pulled the younger in a congrats hug. "Good job Taehyunnie. Go ahead and pick the doll. "Alright! Which one do you want Hueningie?" Taehyun walked over to his soulmate, whom was obviously eyeing all the dolls in the first place. Scanning for the one he wants. Huening kai looked around the amount of choices of prizes, not sure which one to get. None seemed to satisfy him, except one that he noticed hiding under all the stuffed dolls. "How about that fuzzy looking fox at the back?" The guy working at the stand followed to where Hueningkai was pointing and grabbed the doll in question. It was a cute little fox plush, a ribbon on it's neck and a cheeky smile plastered on his face. "Perfect! I want that one please?" The guy gave Huening kai the doll, now it was officially Kai's.

"Why did you pick that one Hyuka baby? Cute choice tho." Yeonjun stared at the fox plush in question. "Hehe, because it reminds me of Hyung~" "Aishh this kid. I know I'm adorable~" Tyunning both looked at their hyung in disgust. "Wanna leave this old man alone with his imagination Taehyunnie?" Taehyun nodded, both walking away from Yeonjun, not able to believe their hyung's level of confidence.

"Yahh! Don't you leave me! Get back here you brats!" The two continued to walk away as Yeonjun tried to catch up to them. "Your ego is too much hyung! We're going to go hang out with Beomgyu hyung instead." Taehyun ended his sentences by sticking out his tongue, walking away. "Where is that Beomgyu hyung anyways? He went to go get snacks right?" And that was where all three of them were headed.

Thankfully it didn't take too long. They were able to find Beomgyu waiting in line in front of one of the churro carts. Beomgyu noticed the members and questioned why they were there. "Ouh, are you guys done winning games?" "Yup. We came looking for you. I'm sure we got enough dolls to stuff into our bedroom. " Beomgyu nodded, looking at all the stuffies in the maknaes hands. "Well, after i buy us snacks, i was thinking that the four of us could head over the Feris wheel and look at the night sky. How about that?" The two maknaes were ecstatic over the mention of the ferris wheel. Ouh how long have they wished to ride the giant wheel. Memories of when they were trainees were so vivid when it came to the ride. Both the maknaes agreed gladly. "Ouh, Taehyun ah. Why don't we go on the merry go round and take some pictures while we wait?" Hueningkai happily suggested. He grabbed Taehyun's hand, shaking it repeatedly as he pointed to the colorful merry go round in the middle of the carnival. It was playfully colored with pastel and golden colors.  It was indeed a treat to the eyes. Taehyun swore he could've lost an arm due to Kai's intense shaking and tight grasps. But nonetheless, stayed the calm and postured man he was. He smiled at his soulmate. "Of course we can go! I can take cute pictures of you!" The two giggled, walking away towards the merry go round. As soon as the two left, Yeonjun arrived towards Beomgyu, a sulk on his face and a pout formed on his lips. "Beomie ah. Where are the two maknaes?" "They went to go ride the merry go round while i buy us snacks. We were planning on heading to the ferris wheel later. What do you think?" Yeonjun nodded over the plan. He agreed. Yet the pout was still visible. "Alright, i see that pout. What did the maknaes do to you this time?" Beomgyu handed Yeonjun the churro he had bought while the older fake cried towards Beomgyu. "The maknaes are so meann. They left me alone at the the ring toss after THEY basically said i was adorable. I was just clarifying. Such meaniess." Beomgyu let out a short laugh before comforting the older. "Awww hyungiee i'm sorry they did that to you. But you have to admit, they are right at one thing." "And what is that?"
