As her eyes closed and black. She felt a hand lay on her shoulder, which woke her up, and came back to her senses and panicked, But seeing Dr. Garcia right behind her in his scrubs. she smiled still even she was tired. and Dr. Garcia smiled right back.
"He's okay, he is Bay 25" Dr. Garcia informed her. "Okay, I'm going to tell his parents..." she walks to the doors remembering "come, you tell them" she Replied and instructed.
and walked together through the door.
After telling the Jefferson's about the well-being of Sam, they were cleared that they could go and visit. And right before they went through the doors. Dr. Donatello came pacing through the halls calling out Dr. Fuerte and Dr. Garcia's names.
"Fuerte! Garcia!" Donatello called out. his face looked all worried and seems like there was something wrong. "what's wrong, Donatello?" Dr. Garcia asked. "she said that he has been ignoring the pain for so long." Donatello said.
"what do you mean?" Fuerte asked, " the pain has been going on for 2 years?! it's just today he started shaking and couldn't move any bottom part of his body." Donatello replied worriedly.
"Page Dr. Alaroyo! say GSC Stat 2 years! Now!" Dr. Garcia instructed and the three doctors run to the ER.
as they run to the ER, Sam was there on the bay shaking having seizures once again and his parents crying hysterically. "take them out of the bay to the waiting room" Dr. Furte instructed the nurse.
"Vitals?" Dr. Garcia asked. "Okay we take him right away to trauma 1 give him Phenytoin" the Doctors got each side and run to the trauma room.
"Dr. Fuerte you said he is going to be fine! you said that he can go! What's happening to my baby!?" Mrs. Jefferson starts to break down. " okay we want you to come with me, and answer me how long does he have this weird chest and pains on the bottom part of his body and pain in his abdomen?" Dr. Fuerte asks.
"he has been complaining but we just keep giving him Tylenol." Mr. Jefferson replied.
"he has this for 2 years? yes? on and off?" Fuerte asks again. "yes on and off? What is wrong?" Mr. Jefferson replied.
"his girlfriend told our psychologist about the duration, it was left untreated for 2 years, which will leave him in a life-threatening situation. cholecystitis and sepsis. he has Gallbladder Cancer." Dr. Fuerte replied.
" We paged our best oncologist to come to take a look" Dr. Fuerte replied. " will he die?" The mother asked hysterically. "Not in my watch." Dr. Fuerte. "will come back to you as we stabilize sam." Dr. Fuerte Reassured the Jeffersons. as Dr. Fuerte walks back to the ER, She looks at the couple, hugging and crying. Runs back to the ER and takes results and helps out.
"Gallbladder Cancer, very common but can be rare. we don't have one of the therapies in the building I should call Green." Dr. Fuerte informed.
but came in Dr. Green the Medical Director of the AMH (Alarick Medical Hospital). "what can I do to help?" he asks.
"Gallbladder Cancer, 2 years, 19. Male had 3 seizures already... untreated we don't have one therapy session for his full-on recovery." Dr. Fuerte Reported, " I will immediately report this to the board. any patient needs this too?" He asks.
"yes Green, about 12 others." Sadie replied, "will do other therapy first page me when the others have concluded the missing therapy" Dr. Fuerte ask, "I will do," Dr. Green Replied.
Dr. Fuerte talks to the parents with the oncologist and discussed the therapy sessions needed.
"Mr.Jefferson? Hi, I am Dr. Owen Alaroyo the oncologist to Sam, He will be needing 6 therapy sessions here in the hospital. he is now stabilized and ready, we have removed the pain we now have to move forward right away. Which will include: Radiation Therapy for Gallbladder Cancer. Chemotherapy Targeted Therapy Drugs, Immunotherapy, Palliative Therapy. soon after he will be okay"
The Jefferson's seemed so worried, "it will be alright Mr. and Mrs. Jefferson we have Owen as our best in the oncologist department." Dr. Fuerte reassured the parents. and they seem to be confident with the doctors. " you can check on him" the doctors allowed them back in the ER.
Dr. Fuerte and Dr. Alaroyo looked at each other. "you okay?" he asks. "yes just tired, hopefully, this is the calm spot for the ER." Dr. Fuerte manifested, " I don't know how you do it, look good even you tired" he walks backward in the halls back to his department floor, smiles, and walks normally back.
Dr. Fuerte walks back into the ER to her office to rest. Lays her head on the table tries to sleep.
*knocks*
"go away!" she said under her arms. " you're turning coffee away?" Dr. Garcia comes in.
"dance September for me" she jokingly asks. "that only if you stay by the counter out there," he replied. "No!!!!!!" she stands up and puts her arms around the neck of Dr. Garcia and kisses him.
"Miss me?" he asks. "been here 24-hrs" she complained.
"yeah, I can see that, you are getting cranky," he replied. "get a shut-eye, kara." He insisted.
" I cannot leave my ED" Kara replied. "but you need rest Kara" Dr. Garcia insisted. "it's okay, the ED needs me, promise maybe tomorrow night I will sleep beside you and you know do the things that we should do... I don't know... you, me, I removing your clothes and-" Kara replied Flirtly about to give Ezra another kiss. But Anthony comes in, "Uh kara you have a new patient out." They instantly stand up straight and swallow the saliva due to the watering of their mouths.
"be right there" kara Replies. "you know, I like that plan" Ezra kisses Kara and walks out of her office.
