"I'm your song, sing it however you want"
Melody Angel's POV
The worst nightmare coming true on the supposed-to-be-best day in your life.
"What do you think you're doing? Huh?" I yelled.
This was all my mistake. Every. Single. Thing. I was four when I wanted to be a singer. It was four years ago since I started dating this douche bag. There's definitely something wrong with me and number 4. My dad died on the 4th of October. And now, after all the sacrifices I've done, all the plans are made, after winning the singing competition last year, it's as if I almost got there until I decided my so-called boyfriend decided to be my guitarist.
After waiting for my entire life, today was the day. My biggest show. Spending so much money for all the decorations, the clothes and my new crew, now he decided to cheat me with the mom of his kid. Don't get me wrong, even I just got to know that.
"Yes! That is my baby. Do what you can!" He yelled and started packing his things up.
"I don't really give a fuck about any kid. Where do you think you're going?!" I asked and snatched the bag from his hand.
"Give me that, crazy woman!" He shouted and started tugging it from the other end. If someone else saw what we are doing, no wonder if we end up in the mental hospital.
My dark pink glittered dress is getting crinkled with all this joke. Things getting out of hand, I officially lost it, screaming on top of my lung I pulled the bag back and hit his head with it. It gave out a loud sound, I won't be surprised if he ends up in the hospital. I'd rather be glad.
"Crazy bitxh!" He ran while clutching the bag, and holding it to his dear life.
"All. Is. My. Fault!" I screamed and pulled the brown hair strands which fell off my shoulder. Much to my pleasure, Maria opened the dressing room silver door with a huge thud.
"That little spoon is a father!" I said and looked at her. My eyes were already teary from everything.
"Nice. I don't want to be the one who says this, but I told you so!" She said and sat on the plastic chair that has been in the corner of the wall of the square-shaped dark pink room the whole time.
"Yeah yeah! Whatever! Everything is done. I won't be able to sing without someone playing my effing song! How can this be the worst? I lost Maria! I lost!"
My knees couldn't hold me up anymore. I fell to the ground and tears started straining out. I sobbed. I wish I listened to my dad, mom and Maria four years ago when they said this guy is not the one. The stage never frightened me, life did. Not everyone is blessed to have everything they need.
"Eh... Mel?" Maria said in an annoying tone and I turned to look at her.
"Enough of your crying party! I knew this would happen today." She said taking me by surprise. I wiped my tears from my fingertips and gave a questioning look.
"Re-do your make-up!" She said and rolled her eyes. "Guitarist is ready!" She said and walked out of the room with the click-click sound by the heels tapping the ground.
The next few minutes went in a blur. I was sitting in front of the mirror, while Lily our high school friend started doing my makeup, again. She was giving out sweet compliments to make my mood better, but it wasn't getting any better. I internally rolled my eyes and let her do her miracles.
My mind was still miserable thinking about the guitarist. The ex. Whatever Maria had taken care of, it better be good. Or I'll simply sing without music. Yes, I will do it. After all, with all the compliments I got, I bet I need music. Calming my soul, I thought about it some more and more.
