My Elusive Heart (COMPLETE)

MEH Chapter 3

CHAPTER 3

After our heart-to-heart talk, Ivan said that he will go already. He said that he will just fetch me tomorrow. I look into my clock. Its already 1 o’clock pm. I guess, the clinic still open. I get me back then I ride a jeepney.

          

  I’m nervous. What if I have achronic illness? I’m not rich to have a treatment. I  have to work to gain money. And my salary is not enough for a treatment for God sake!

            “Miss Espinosa” the nurse called. I stand and walk inside the clinic. I saw the doctor checking some papers.

            “Good Morning Doctor.” I said then I sat on the chair in front of her desk. This doctor is really familiar with me.

            “Good Morning Ms. Espinosa, what can I do for you?” she asked me then she smiled.

            “I just want to have a check up. Something is wrong with my heartbeat. Sometimes, my heart beats really fast like its going to explode.I can not breathe. This feeling is really not familiar with me.” I said. I noticed that the doctor smiled.

            “Have you or any member of your family have heart disease?” the doctor asked. I shook my head,

            “Well then, I’ll ask you some questions. Answer me honestly okay?” he said.  I do not know the reason but I'm nervous.

            “Have someone that when you hear his voice, You can not avoid to smile?” when the doctor asked that, just one person came to my mind. Ivan. He always there for me no matter what. He makes me happy.

“Yes doc.” I answered.

“If you accidently touch that person, you will start trembling. You may get goose bumps as well.” Well, I do not know when it started but when Ivan hugs or holding me, I always tremble. So I nodded again as my answer.

“You'll feel shy whenever you're with him?” He asked. I’m always shy when Ivan is near to me I am ashamed when Ivan is close to me because he attention-seeker and I hate attentions. So I nodded again.
