Lilah
"I'm so glad this is over, I'm fucking exhausted" I say as I walk to the dressing room with Alice, or shall I say 'Cassandra'
"I know, I can't wait to get out of this costume, and go home, the wigs are so uncomfortable as well" replied Alice
trust me when I say that being a stripper it's not easy, it's hard spinning on that pole for god knows how many hours. It's hard to always have a smirk on your face so you get money thrown ate you. And don't even get me started on lap dances because they're the worse.
"the wigs are the worse part they're so itchy"
"don't worry you'll get used to it" she assures me. Thing is I don't wanna get used to this but it's the only thing that pays well.
"and no one will recognise us if they ever see us in town" that's the thing I'm more concerned about. People recognising me. I mean I just moved here so no one knows me but if any men that come at the club recognise me outside, I don't know what could happen.
I nod back at her and yawn loud. I take my wig off and brush my hair.
"finally feel like myself again, I'll get changed so we can leave this place.
I wait for Alice to show up at the exit of the club "you ready to go?"
"me and the others are heading for a drink. You have to come"
uuuuurgh...no thanks. Alice can see the tired expression on my face when I don't answer her.
"Lilah please don't tell me you're too tired" mmh excuse me? the real question is how the fuck is she not tired.
Alice sees that I stand there quietly not saying anything. "Lilah you've worked here for 2 months and you haven't been out with us at least once." her brows furrow and she's starting to have a sad look over her face. she continues "it's like you don't wannabe friends with us."
"please... you really think you can guilt trip me into coming out with you?" I raise my eyebrows at her knowing what she's doing.
she doesn't say anything, we just stare at each other for a couple of seconds. 3...2...1... "ok ok fine whatever. I'll come" I say and her face lighten up which makes us both chuckle.
"but I'm warning you I'm only having ONE drink." I assure her because one of us has to be the responsible adult tonight.
Alice shrugs it off, so I raise my eyebrows and cross my arms at her.
"come on now, the girls are ready." and just like that, she pushes me out of the door.
"Lilah" I hear my manager call. "Can I talk to you before you leave?" oh shit it better be something good. "sure"
"I'll be right back Alice just wait here for me ok?" she nods and I make my way to him.
"hey boss" I say with a polite smile
"oh please call me George."
"ok George"
"just wanted to see how everything went for you tonight. you know the private lounges?"
"ye it was all fine as always why?"
"no one tried touching you or anything?" he asks worried
"of course not. and I would have told someone if they did don't worry"
"if it happens just call Jake alright?" Jake is the security guard
"yes, yes, I will" I reassure
