Lumity band au (Scrapped ideas)

Songs and Random Bits

So, since Band au's finished, let's slap the spare ideas onto here

These random bits that are gonna be here either didn't really have a chapter idea, or they had a rough estimate as to where they would happen, I don't really know how to phrase this haha. 

But first, the songs and a small description why they were gonna be used and why they were scrapped. (Not gonna lie, most of the reasons are just because I found better ones to use-)

This one was actually suggested by someone, I think they were on Ao3? Anyways, I actually considered doing this song for the finale bit, but then I eventually replaced it with Misery Business cause I thought it fit better. 

-(Bubblegum bitch by Marina and the Diamonds)

This song was going to be in Love at the Spotlight as one of the songs that Luz first heard. It eventually got scrapped cause I didn't really know if witches would know what bubblegum was? (and doing some research at the time, I couldn't find that they had anything similar, and it's possible that I missed something like it) Eventually it got put on the back burner as "a song Luz could write when she joins the band" but then I never got around to using it

This was another one suggested by someone on Ao3, and this was actually going to be like an Edric solo. I didn't really have a spot to put it, but I still wrote it down in case I was gonna use it. The basic gist for that one would probably be a drum warmup he was doing on his own and he'd be singing the song to keep the tempo (If it was that then I'd probably put it after Bang)

There was also another song, I think it was called "I'm yours"? I don't really know who it's by, but it was going to be in Magic Practice as one of the songs Luz was singing, but it changed to Tunnel Vision after that animatic came out. (And then there was Bang, which I literally put in because of the chapter Bang)

So, now there's random ideas that don't really have an "official chapter place" though most of them have a rough estimate where they would be.

So, the main effect in Loverman wasn't actually going to be an illusion at first. Originally, it was going to be like, fake movie blood, or blood packets that you could get at Spirit Halloween or something. 

It was going to be like, a little device that at the press of a button would let the blood out of the packets and flow past their lips. There was also a thought of Amity having a blood spot at her side, but I never had a good explanation why she would add it. (I mean, the whole point was because of Luz, but I couldn't think of where it would work in the song or how she would explain it to her siblings) 

Eventually to see if it would be decent to do, I tried the "blood packets" with a bit of water to see if they would still be able to sing and I nearly choked, so it got changed to an illusion

Instead of Luz staying and healing at the owl house, she would actually spend her time at Amity's house. Eda basically would ask her to take care of Luz since she's at the market so often. There would also be the cliche of "There's two people and only one bed" which still got added in Down to Earth Visit.

There was another point where Amity would be having nightmares about "the incident" and the first night with Luz would be basically sleepless. That one got removed cause I thought it would be better if it was used in Amity's POV, but since the chapter was in Luz's POV, I decided to just scrap it instead. 

-(Sometime after Heart Attack)

So, before Heart Attack was ever a thing (Cause literally, Luz was never gonna get a bile sack but eventually people in the comments brought up the witch blood and that's why this idea was replaced) there was gonna be a time where they would be cleaning out the spare storage and Emira's keyboard would be out for cleaning. 

There was gonna be a scene where Luz would sit around and try to play some keys. She wouldn't  know how to play, and it would kinda just be pushing keys that sound good together.

(The scene actually had two different scenarios, that one and then this one) 

The other scene would be that Luz kinda knew how to play, and after pressing down some keys in a bit of a tune, she'd make this little illusions of her and Amity that would just dance around for a little bit to the tune of the music. 

This one got scrapped cause I couldn't think of how she would make the illusions look like her and Amity, since at the time I couldn't think of how glyph magic would work for illusions. And it was also scrapped cause Luz doesn't really seem like the type to wanna learn how to play piano.

So, way back when, Matt and the Creep actually didn't know each other. Bang was going to just be an incident with a crazy fan rather than a plotted type of idea. And eventually Matt was gonna be fired and then would find the guy and work together with him to crash the show. This one was scrapped cause I reworked it so they knew each other before. 

That was about it for all the random ideas, the rest of these are going to be hopefully in order of the chapters, which will be out soonish lmao
