Liam woke up earlier than Zayn as usual deciding not to go for his early morning run in case Zayn needs him his morning sickness has been getting better now that he was in the second trimester but Liam was still worried

Instead, he decided to make breakfast for him and Zayn, after looking through the cupboards for a while he decided on making a smoothie as Zayn doesn't probably doesn't want a heavy breakfast. He put all the fruit in the blender and started it realising too late that the noise will wake up his sleeping partner, and before he knew it a very tired Zayn came walking down the stairs, without a t-shirt on so his whole bump was on full display and the side made Liam smile he couldn't wait for his baby to be here

"Quit staring!" Zayn said hiding his blushed cheeks behind his hands
"I can't help it, you look so beautiful, carrying our baby," Liam said fondly his voice sounding distant as he imagined once again what it would be like to have their baby finally there with them

Zayn just opened his arms & pouted & Liam ran up to his open arms placing one hand around Zayn's waist & the other on his baby bump  giving him a passionate kiss on the lips before saying his good morning to his baby & then going back to his smoothie

"We should start talking names I think," Zayn said nonchalantly as he sipped away at his smoothie
"Maybe, but it's a big decision you know, and I think we should wait" Liam sighed he was terrified of being a dad and his first terrifying dad mission was naming his baby and that was a lot of pressure for this spring morning

"We are not deciding today! Just looking at names that we like, I've been looking at some for the last few days but I really want you to be a part of  this too" Zayn pouted and Liam ran his hand through his hair before landing a peck on Zayn's pout and nodding hesitantly Zayn just squealing going upstairs as well and as fast as he could with his 5 months belly

10 minutes later Zayn came down in one of Liam's hoodies he was practically swimming in it but he seemed to enjoy wearing Liam's clothes even if they were way to big for him and Liam just smiled fondly as his pregnant partner sat down next to him on the table

"I've got a list" Zayn smiled
"Of course you do, wouldn't expect anything less," Liam said resting his hand on Zayn's thigh and his forehead on his kissing him Zayn kissed back of course but when Liam tried to deepen the kiss Zayn just smacked Liam's thigh and pulled back knowing he was trying to get out of this conversation

"You know this is supposed to be the fun part of having a baby," Zayn said their foreheads still touching
"I don't find It fun," Liam said pecking Zayn again before moving back to look at the long list of baby names Zayn had supplied

"let's start with Boy names them," Liam said they had decided not to find out the gender of their baby until they come out so much to Liam's delight they would have to pick out a boy and gir name

"Ace?" Zayn suggested
"No, wasn't that your first boyfriend's name?"
"fine, but I don't see anything wrong with it" Zayn huffed and Liam sighed today was going to be a long day

"Ajax?"
" Cute, but no his not a maid"
" Most people probably don't even know what Ajax is"
" Well I do and I'm not naming my son after a cleaning product!"

"Bishop"
"We are not religious, and I don't know if that makes it better or worse"

"Jacob"
"Too basic, I know like 10 our baby has to have a unique name"

"Night"
"To out there, he'll probably get picked on"

"Liam comes on, we have to pick one!"
"I'm sorry baby but this is really big and important to me"
"and to me, but I'm not sitting here finding the slightest things wrong with each and everyone I suggest"
"I'm sorry baby, I really am. But I just want our baby to have the perfect name!"

they had been at this for almost 2 hours now and they still haven't even started on girls names because Liam has found something slightly wrong with every name Zayn had suggested Zayn knew Liam was just very stressed and wanted to find the perfect name but it was starting to worry Zayn what if they went through every name in the word and Liam didn't like any of them then what would happen?

after the disagreement, the couple sat in silence looking at their phones Zayn was scrolling through his Instagram feed while Liam was still looking at baby names

"Cruz" was all Liam whispered Zayn turned around to look at him as he Liam repeated "Cruz" louder this time
"that's it, Zee, that's the name I want for my baby boy, do you like it, please say you like it?" Liam said smiling ear to ear and almost shaking with pride and excitement he really hoped Zayn liked it

"Cruz" Zayn tried the name out on his tongue "I like it" was all he said before Liam dived over to him and kissed him deeply Zayn kissed back with just the same amount of passion and joy so happy that they had finally found a name for there baby until he realised they also had to pick out a girls name so he pulled back from Liam and both of them started to look at their lists again

this time it only took about an hour mainly because Liam was convinced he was a boy but it was also harder to find things he didn't like in a to of the names Zayn had suggested but once again just like Cruz they came to a decision
