Kuroo made his way up the elevator, frantically pressing the floor button. Come on, why do I end up rushing everyday? There's no way I can be late today.

He stumbled out the elevator and rushed to the front desk.

"Hi, Kuroo Tetsuro correct?" said Kiyoko

"Yes, I'm one of Ms. L/n's interns"

"Take a seat, she doesn't appear to be in yet." the lady said while gesturing to some chairs.

That's a relief. Y/n isnt here yet to bust my ass about being late, instead she's not on time. Hah I gotta mess with her about that later.

Kuroo took a seat across from Akaashi and two chairs from the side of Sugawara.

"Hey, you guys are working with me too right?" Kuroo asks the others

"Yes, I'm Sugawara Koushi, you?"

"Kuroo Tetsuro"

"My name's Akaashi Keiji"

"Well, it's nice to meet you guys properly." Kuroo chuckled. "Yesterday was a whirlwind. With seeing Y/n and the nerves"

"Oh yea definitely" Akaashi agreed.

"Wait, I remember Y/n mentioning she somehow knew all of us? Have you all met her before?" Suga asks

At that moment the three men remembered the agreement they made to Y/n. No sharing their past

"Uh, yea. I know her from high school." Kuroo said nonchalantly

"We crossed paths in college. And you?" Akaashi stated calmly

"Through a friend years ago." Suga responded

The crew nodded, the feeling in the air was silent and a little awkward for some reason. Each had a feeling there was more to the story.

"Say when did you meet her-" Kuroo began

Like on cue, Y/n busted through the elevator doors, coffee threatening to spill out her left hand and papers falling out her right arm.

She stepped out in a black dress, ending right above her knees and a red knitted cardigan. Black heels and a low bun, she walked up to Kiyoko, gave a greeting and apology for being tardy. Turning around she saw the three interns looking at her.

"Well come on now. Chop chop, we've got things to do" she said ushering the boys towards her office.

Y/n sent the boys off to run errands and things around the office, leaving her some time alone in her office.

Ok, so I have 6 months with these guys. That's their contract under the internship. I can do this. she pondered.

By the time lunchtime rolled around, the boys finished most of their tasks and were given their break. Suga took off and went out for some food as Akaashi went to the lounge room. Kuroo decided to check on Y/n, maybe catch up over lunch.

Y/n sat in her desk chair scrolling through her phone and snacking on some chips.

Y/n clicked on the tab and was brought to the photos app. A group picture of her and her graduating Nekoma class appeared. It was taken at that graduation party. She spotted Kenma and smiled. The two still kept in touch over the years, seeing each other every few months.

She glanced over to the side where she saw herself. Arms slung over Fukunaga and Yamamoto a grin was sprawled over her face. Behind her stood Kuroo, discreetly giving Y/n bunny ears with his fingers.
