Leonardo

Leonardo is a college graduate who works as a journalist for a news channel. He seems unenthusiastic about his job.

  A worker then calls out to Leo who is listening to music while writing a college essay for his masters application

  Benson : "Leo, hey."

   Leo doesnt reply and stays focus in front of his computer

   Benson pokes Leo's head, alarming him

   Leo : "Huh? What is it Benson?"

   Benson : "You got into a little trouble with your little daddy over there."

    Benson points at the boss' office while he mocks Leo. Leo is annoyed

  Leo : "Quit it dude. Why do the people in this building associates him like he is my father? Feels annoying if this continues."

  Janice : "Because he is young man. You two are close, like father and son"

Janice laughs

  Leo : "Ha Ha, very funny Janice. All your old tale jokes makes me laugh. Anyway when is your birthday again,  Janice?"

  Janice : "This week, november 3rd."

  Leo : "isn't October 2nd?" Leo mocks and laughs at Janice. The whole workers laughs

Janice : "That sarcasm is unacceptable on an old woman, young man."

Leo : "so you do admit you are old huh?"

  Leo's boss then screams, calling out Leo

  Terrance : "LEOOOOO!!"

  Benson : "Looks like daddy is angry"

  Leo : "fuck. Shut up."

  Leo then storms off while the workers on the floor laughs. Leo arrived at Terrance's office, getting yelled at afterwards. Terrance's anger can be heard from the same floor on every corner

"Ya know Leo, i've been working my ass in this news for 2 decades. I have never seen a story so horrendous. Make a story with good quality. If not, i'll fire you.

"Yea boss." He replies with annoyance

  Leo then leaves Terrance's office and met Benson once again

  Benson : "so how was it going?"

  Leo : "if i don't do well he'll fire me."

  Benson : "yeah, no. We heard but i'm not talking about it."

  Leo : "well i'm not sure dude. I've been working here for 4 months since my graduation. I can't afford a living place. I got no where to go."

  Benson : "well you're smart. You'll think about it"

  Leo : "i'm starting to doubt my choice on this job. I mean i'm not good at this. I dunno if i should quit or not."

  Benson : "hey. The Leo i know is not a quitter."

   Leo then looks at Benson's face while he advices him

   Benson : "ya know how the story goes for my people right? Getting sold off, becoming slaves just because my people are black? Different colour from your and Janice's skin. But my people never give up. And look around, black people have the same status as whites"

  Leo : "yeah but there are racists so thats the down hill part."

Benson : "well look at Janice. She is 56 years old and still works her ass off trying to pay off her 2 children's tuition fee."

  Leo : "yeah. Oldest went to Harvard right? Got his degrees in political science?"

Benson : "yes. And the youngest, she is the top of her class and went to Princeton. All of her children goes to ivy league"

  Leo : "yeah. I guess"

  Benson : "where did you go? Heard you were really smart. Top of the class and all that shit"

  Leo : "Columbia. Physics and Engineering degree."

  Benson : "so you went to Columbia?"

  Leo : "well i could have gone to Harvard and MIT but gotta give the others a shot right? Plus its new york. Who doesn't wanna go there?"

  Benson : "well why would you give up?"

   Leo then looks at his watch, revealing its now 00:00 AM

  Leo : "today's my brother's death anniversary. 12 years ago, i lost him"

Benson : "i'm sorry. Still thinking that it was an 8 foot tall creature with hair and horns that magically appeared?"

  Leo : "well i know what i saw. I saw it clearly."

Benson : "well goodluck solving it"

Leo : "thanks"

Benson : "speaking of mystery, i'm working on a story."

  Benson hands Leo the document, then Leo starts reading it

  Leo : "Grizzly murders and mutilated bodies? Here?"

Benson : "yeah. Well i mean suits your favorite type of stories right? Mystery and such. Maybe it helps. Plus wife would be pissed if i don't come home"

Leo : "yeah. How is she by the way?"

Benson : "well, fine. Firm but caring, pretty scary when teaching a 2nd grader."

   They both chuckle

Benson : "anyway, Janice already went home, and i wanna go home. See you tomorrow"

Leo : "aright see ya."

At night, Leo then heads home. But find the streets STRANGELY quiet, only the sounds of that the crickets are making and his motorcycle. He stops his motorcycle, when he hears crushing and chewing noises. Its close.

    Leo then speds up and suddenly infront of him and he saw something humanoid crouching. Like its eating something. He tries to back away, but the creatures notices him. He runs for his life, leaving his motorcycle but the creature easily catches up to him. The creature grabs him and throws him into a wall. Leo is cornered, just as the creature is about to kill him. A gunshot is heard, a bullet passes through the head of the creature, killing it..

He looks to the direction the bullet came from, and saw a man, holding a rifle.

"You're lucky, very lucky. Most people when encountering a demon, usually gets killed."

"D-demon?"

"Yeah. Creatures who abandoned God and thrown away to Hell. That sorta thing? Anyway i'm Max, Max Freschutz"

"Uh Le-Leo"

"Okay Leo. I'll accompany you until you get home"

But to Max's surprise, There is another Demon. The demon backhand Max until he crashes into a Building. His Rifle is to far from him. It seems all hope is lost for max.

Leo then tackles the Demon with brute force, but the Demon, unhinged, managed to push Leo, where he lands near Max's rifle. He then grabs Max's rifle, prepares to aim for the right side of the demon. But, something odd just happened. Leo sees, its anatomy. Flesh, muscles, organs, even blood vessels and nerves of it, as clear as broad daylight

He then tries to look for the heart, and then finds the heart, in the left chest of it. He then shoots the rifle. The bullet, reaching the speed of sound, creates a sonic boom, shatters the windows and glass that is near as well as disintregating its heart completely

He then falls to the ground, with a really bad nosebleed. Max then recovers himself quickly, then checks Leo.

"Well would you look at that. He's an Oculus"
