JASPER, LILIAN AND ALICE rode in a comforting silence as they approached the Cullen residence.
Rosalie and Emmett sat on top of the both cars, watching their family, protectively.
Lilian stared out the window from the backseat, trying to calm her minds worries.
She watched as they drove past Forks diner, watching how her friends laughed as if they didn't have a worry in the world. Smiles dawned their faces as they laughter together, not knowing how their best friend was in danger.
She too, had been invited to go out with them, but politely rejected the offer instead to go to the Cullen's baseball game. She wished she hadn't rejected going out. She wondered if the outcome of the night would have came out different if she had gone. Maybe she would of gone and nomads wouldn't be targeting her twin. Maybe. But Lilian wouldn't know. She would never know, and Lily didn't know how to feel about that.
