"You first, Rosalie." Alice beamed. She was practically bursting at the scenes, jumping up and down in excitement. Jasper and Lily both steadied her with a hand on her shoulder, keeping the girl still.
The night had drawn to a proper conclusion, despite the hilarious pit-stops along the way. The opening of gifts had been an idea used to reign the chaotic night to a closing, however, it would prove to be quite an eye-opener for the rather.. unaware in the room.
It was inevitable really. It was the night they all had planned as a whole, yet Bella and Lily felt the most anxious of all. The nerves were like a bond that had yet to be severed between the two twins.
Bella slowly approached the center of the room, the attention shifting from her twin sister to herself. She knew that they all would know by the end of the night, but that was long forgotten as she pondered all she had. She had friends, people to rely on— a family, to love her unconditionally— and an amazing boyfriend, to accept her even though she didn't fit his unique criteria.
Bella had the decency to be ashamed of her recent behavior. The jealousy, the judgement, the under-appreciation; it all made her crumble under the weight of shame. She felt absolutely terrible with herself. She was on a road to self-recovery, but sometimes she couldn't help but cringe at the actions she took in the past.
Still, it was forgotten for the night.
It was peaceful. Family, friends, and partners gathered together to celebrate the birth of their favorite twins. Complete opposites, yet the same side of the coin. The fates were comical that way, but they digress.
