JASPER LET OUT A SIGH OF RELIEF happy to finally be alone in the company of his soulmates.
Alice and Lily laid, cuddled up with the golden haired vampire as they allowed silence to overtake them.
It had been three weeks since that faithful night. Three weeks since Lilian was turned into a creature of the night. She was pretty much cool with it once she got over the shock. The fact that she was never really human aided in that a bunch as well as everyone's acceptance. She was grateful.
It wasn't always like that, unfortunately. At first it was irritating and depressing, the Cullen household tried to get used to the drastic change. Carlisle, Jasper, Esme, and Alice took the two weeks off from their lives and made sure that the change went smoothly.
Of course, people wondered what happened to the girl who practically disappeared without a trace for two weeks. However, having a soon-to-be doctor father-in-law proved to be helpful. With a written note from Carlisle to Forks High School, Lily was excused under the guise of mono.
It was Charlie that was hard to convince, naturally. He wasn't sure how to react when Esme showed up outside of his door at eleven at night, with only a grim expression and an excuse for Lily, which was a contagious disease caught in their time away. Naturally, Charlie's first instinct was to coddle Lily until she was over her sickness and just sick of him. But one word from Carlisle about the quarantining had him calling everyday instead.
And while everyone else's minds were soothed, those who knew the harrowing truth were anything but.
In her three weeks away, Carlisle helped Lilian with her control, which surprisingly wasn't hard to do. The vampire liked the taste of blood, that much was obvious but she never really craved it. It was like an indescribably sweet taste that danced on Lily's taste buds like they were a dance floor at a rave. But it was less than addicting. Actually, the first time Lily had to drink from a squirrel, she had a mental breakdown that only Jasper's soothing embrace and Alice's whispers of sweet nothings could calm.
