Hi everyone so this is our first ever book, lets hope its good and people enjoy it! Just a warning the prologue is kind of depressing, BUT from chapter 1 onwards we promise it gets a more light hearted and funny, by like A LOT! We wouldn't be able to write a depressing novels, we're too happy!

Anyways...here goes! Enjoy! 😄

PROLOGUE

The corridors were completely silent. As I continued to run I couldn't help but think that if this were a horror movie I would be the helpless girl running from the unknown scary hooded figure. But the only difference being between the girl from the movies and me, is that I knew who I was running away from- my boyfriend, well my ex- Jamie. He had just come back from a party I knew nothing about and he was extremely drunk. He had asked me to pick him up in front of the school because he was too wasted to drive himself. What I didn't know was that the excess alcohol had made him abusive. I found that out pretty quickly when I arrived and he proceeded to beat me up for no reason. Luckily at the time I kept my wits about myself and managed to escape into the school. Which brings us to now; me running through the hallways for my life -literally- whilst the hysteria built up inside me.

The first words he ever said to me when I agreed to be his girlfriend echoed through my mind, "I will never hurt you". It was like my heart was shattering into a million tiny pieces. Of course at the time he was talking more emotional hurt rather than physical, but a promise is a promise. He lied to me. I will never be able to look at him in the same way ever again.

I heard a shatter close by and sharp glass flew everywhere, slicing through my delicate skin. The blood poured out of my arm as I began to fall to the cold, hard floor...

As the black clouds began to fog my mind I tried my hardest not to succumb to the darkness. God knows what will happen if Jamie finds me here unconscious. I could be beaten up, or raped, or even worse...perhaps he wouldn't be able to stop himself from killing me. I shuddered.

No. I'm not going to let that happen to me. I pulled myself up, wincing in pain. I didn't dare make a noise, I didn't know how close Jamie was. Even though I was quite a fast runner and had gathered up some distance between Jamie and I, I knew that I had been down quite long as well. So I had now idea how close or far he was. Suddenly I fell face forward due to me not paying attention to my surroundings and noticed that I was yet again in shards of glass. It must have been from the window I heard smash earlier.

I felt a cool breeze on my neck, so I sprinted back as fast as my scratched up legs could carry me, until I found the window. There were more pieces of sharp, broken glass everywhere which sliced through my already weak body as I climbed out of the window, he grabbed my ankle. My heart stopped beating for a second. Then adrenaline coursed through my veins giving me a sudden boost of confidence me to kick back at him. He immediately let go of me and let out a grunt of pain, I must have kicked him where the sun doesn't shine. Good, hopefully it would stop him from running after me because after that he must be twice as angry at me than how he was at first. It was raining heavily outside as I sprinted towards my house, water was pouring down my face but I didn't know whether it was from tears or the rain. Probably a bit of both.

I finally got to my house. Due to me shaking like a leaf, it took my fumbling fingers three times until I got the key to go into the door. When I got in, I locked the door behind me and slid down the door. I curled into a ball, vaguely registering my parents rushing towards me with worry, but that's when the heart-wrenching crying started.
