When a prank goes wrong

Chapter 4

Chapter 4

"So the main theme of this book: 'Of Mice and Men' is..." the teacher trails off expecting us to shout out the answer. I guess he hasn't realised that half of the class has fallen asleep.

"LONELINESS!" the nerd shouts out.

"THE DREAM!" another person shouts.

"My milkshake brings all the boys to the yard..."

Oh no.

Please no.

God must hate me.

I hate my life so much right now.

I can't BELIEVE that I forgot to turn off my phone!

But wait.

That's not my ringtone...

Chase.

I clench my fists in anger and go red in embarrassment as the whole class grins at me.

"Miss Scott, do you have anything to share with us?" the teacher asks.

"Her milkshake," Chase says.

Wait... CHASE! Since when was he in my class? I whip my head around and glare at him whilst everyone else in the class laughs.

Great.

"Oh my goodness, I'm so sorry! I thought that I had turned off my phone! Plus, that ISN'T my ringtone!" I say apologetically as I shoot Chase an angry glance.

"Well seeing as you're new, I'll let you off this once, but don't let it happen again!" The teacher said warningly, before turning around.

I quickly turn my phone off and prepare for my revenge.

Wait a second... How exactly did Chase change my ringtone? Also, how did he get my number?

Oh my goodness! Is he stalking me? What if he's been creeping in my room? Oh my god! What if he went through my underwear? What if he -

The bell rings, cutting off my thoughts.

I storm out of the classroom and stand by the door impatiently whilst waiting for Chase to come out.

Chase is going down.

When he finally walks out of the classroom, I grab him by his shirt and push him against the lockers.

"Wow, you really are trying to seduce me, aren't you?" Chase smirks at me.

"Shut up! Anyway, just give me back my underwear, you creep!" I scream angrily before becoming painfully aware of what I just said.

Damn.

Everyone in the corridor is staring at us.

My cheeks burn as I turn pink as I now resemble a strawberry.

"The hell are you talking about?" Chase asks bewildered.

"Oh don't act confused, you pervert! How else would you change my alarm? How else would you change my cell phone ringtone? You've been creeping in my room,
