Olivia liked sneaking around with Fred. But suddenly what had been a simple friendship had become much more... complicated. They weren't just friends anymore, but they weren't dating either. Friends with benefits? Perhaps. But in reality, it was more than that. If one asked either Fred or Olivia about their trists, they would say that it was casual, that it didn't mean anything. They were both lying.

Even worse? They were both catching feelings. And both were bottling up their feelings because they thought the other didn't feel the same. But the more interesting part of their relationship was the secret aspect of it. As much as Fred was a trickster, he was a terrible liar and just as terrible at keeping secrets, especially from George.

"Why can't I tell him," he whined to Olivia one day.

"Because," she hissed, "Neither of you can keep your mouths shut."

"But Sparks, it's killing me," Fred sighed, exasperated.

"I know, Weasley. But it's better this way, trust me." Fred groaned at Olivia's words.

"Stop pouting," she reprimanded. Neither was truly being serious, as was evident seconds later when Fred turned his head up with a smile. He reached out and began tickling Olivia, simultaneously covering her in kisses. She squealed and giggled loudly. Unfortunately, they'd both forgotten to cast the silencing charm over Fred's dorm.

Outside in the common room, Ginny was playing Wizard Chess with Harry and Ron. Her ears perked up and her eyes widened at the sound.

"Merlin's beard! Fred's got a girl in there," she exclaimed.

Ron rolled his eyes, "When doesn't he, Gin?" more laughter echoed, and Ron's eyebrows furrowed. "But he never does this with them. Who is this girl?" At that exact moment, Angelina walked in.

"I'd like to know, too. He's been exceptionally cheery lately. I reckon he's in looove," Angelina sang, joining the conversation.

"Rubbish," Ron said.

"Right, well, it might be possible, Ron," Harry said. "He has been less, um- prank-heavy on you lately."

The four discussed avidly, making guesses about who the mysterious girl might be.

"Lee, Katie, Alicia, and I have known he has a new girl for a while. Or suspected, at least, but this confirms it."

"I say it's that Hufflepuff girl. Hanna was it?" Ron mused.

"Course not, Ron. I say it's a Slytherin," Ginny argued.

"Could be a Ravenclaw..." Harry started, but the others cut him off.

"No, of course not, don't be silly Harry," Ginny said.

"Well, it's not Alicia or me. I don't think it's Katie either. Perhaps it's a boy?" Angelina asked.

"No, it sounds like a girl's voice. But I'm stumped," Ginny said. Ron and Angelina nodded.

The four of them waited patiently to reveal the mystery girl. Indeed, around twenty minutes later, Fred left his room, red-faced and hair a mess. Trailing behind him was Olivia. Her face melted from a smile to panic as she noticed the audience.

"I knew it!" Ginny squealed.

"Bloody hell," Ron muttered in the background.

Angelina slapped her knee. "Of course! How didn't I think of it before?"

"See, it was a Ravenclaw," Harry muttered. No one heard him.

Ginny ran out and hugged Olivia, who was no less than panicking. "Ooooh, I'm so happy for you!"

"I-" Olivia choked, squeezed tight in the strong girl's arms. "Oh! Sorry," Ginny exclaimed when she noticed.

"This is so exciting, I have to tell mum!" Ginny exclaimed.

Fred pulled Ginny away from Olivia, who was currently pale as a sheet. "Not a good idea, Gin. We have to keep it a secret." His eyes scanned over the others. "That goes for all of you."

Ginny pouted, but Angelina cocked her head, "I can keep my mouth shut, but how are you going to keep it from George?"

"I don't know," Fred sighed.

"Merlin, he's your twin. If he can't read your mind I don't know who can," Ron commented.

They all agreed to keep the secret, but it didn't last very long.

Soon after, Katie caught them in a broom closet. She told Alicia before they could stop her. Lee found out by chance when Fred and Olivia stumbled into their room. Fred had assumed that no one was there.

In the end, the only oblivious one was George, who still didn't have a clue. Not telling him was killing Fred. George generally didn't like when there were secrets between them, and Fred knew that when he inevitably did find out, there would be hell to pay.

In the meanwhile, Fred and Olivia were becoming more reckless. They didn't hide as well and often forgot to cast the silencing charm. It didn't matter as much anymore. Everyone already knew the secret. Except for George.
