This was a world that hybrids couldn't live in.They were hunted and never seen again from the public.
They were alive, but couldn't speak in the outside world anymore.
They were seen as inferior to humans and seen as though they should be executed for just existing. For something that wasn't their choice. Though normal people thought it was a choice.
There were hybrids everywhere, disguised as normal people. Hiding their animal-like features from everyone and living on their own cause, you can never really trust anyone.
"There he is! He's airborne!" A person wearing a black armored coat said into a walkie-talkie
"I see him," was the reply they got.
There was a bird of some sort, flying through the air at a ridiculous amount of speed.
'Come on, give me an alleyway of some sort,' the flying person thought to themselves. Everything ahead of him was all open, nowhere to land without being seen by people.
'Fuck.'
Finally there was a dark place he could land and be safe, at least for a bit.
He landed on the ground without making a sound and tucked his wings into his hoodie and put on the hood, covering his ears, then finally tucking his tail into his jacket like he was taught. Turning around, he came face to face with another man in a black jacket.
"I located the hybrid, form in on me." They said into their communication device, pulling out a dart gun from their belt.
The hybrid lunged at the man and tackled him, taking the dart gun away from them and grabbing the extra bullets before looking up and seeing more people in jackets run towards him, drawing their weapons. Before they got the chance, he took to the sky in an instant. They shot and he had to swerve in the air to avoid being hit by the darts. One ended up hitting him but it was in a feather, not skin. He flew to the woods and landed, then started running. Moving his ears in all directions to hear other footsteps besides his own. There was nothing. Good. He saw the tree and climbed all the way up so he was sitting on the topmost branch, watching below as people searched the woods for him, flashlights, tasers and dart guns in hand. He sunk away into the leaves of the tree and finally relaxed. Then he heard the barks.
There was another hybrid in the city on the run. They would know, they watched as he escaped with one of the people's own guns. Their ears and wings were hidden, no need to hide the tail, it was too short anyway. They didn't really remember how they were taught this, to conceal the hybrid features they had. But they knew how to do it. They were walking through the streets and came across multiple black jacketed people running towards an alleyway and saw the running hybrid fly in the sky, heading towards the woods near the open city.
'Interesting, another fellow bird hybrid.' They thought and made their way back to their own alleyway where their family had been taken by the black jackets. Memories came back but they were old ones. They took off their hood thinking it was safe to do so, but.
"Found another hybrid." Turning around to the voice they saw a black jacketed person standing a few feet away from them, holding a gun straight at them.
Before being able to react, the dart was already shot from the gun. They stumbled and fell.
The barks came. He was hoping they didn't come.
'Goddammit Frost, why do you do this to yourself?' He thought, 'why did you have to be born a hybrid?'
He thought as the barks got closer and closer and he took to the sky as the flashlight started pointing towards him.
