I'd Like That

Hey guys, thank you so much for reading my book! It's my first one so please do not judge, and I apologize for any mistakes or errors made. I will not update very quickly because of school and I have a busy life, so sorry for the inconvenience. I would love to hear your comments if you have any.

                                      Chapter 1                                
I was walking down the street and was going to get a coffee from my favorite cafe, "Rosbud Cafe". My dad always took me here when I was a little girl and got me a strawberry frosted donut, and a glass of fresh ice tea.

When my dad married my stepmom he stopped taking me here because she claims it was unfair that he only got me something and not the whole family. This rule bothered me but I would not let her and her rules get into what I do. So I come here every Saturday morning instead by myself.

" Good morning Mrs. Alice, how are you?" " I'm good dear, how about you?" " Good thank you for asking." Mrs. Alice was the sweetest, kindest, most caring lady you could meet, but if you were on her bad side there was no way that you would get on her good side. She always treated me like a granddaughter, and let me eat for free, but I always tipped her because I felt that was right. " What can I get you for you today?" "Just the usual" I say.

I always sit at this table near the window, so I can see the cars and busy streets of New York. I love just eating while watching the world go by. I'm walking towards my table when I feel a burning liquid sink through my sweater and shirt, I feel a large shove at my shoulder and hear a voice. " Oh my gosh, I'm so sorry." I look up from my shirt and I see a mans face super close to mine who has the prettiest sea green eyes and jet black hair that looks like even the most top professional hairstylist couldn't tame the locks on his head. " U- u- um, don't worry about it." I can feel the heat rise up on my face while I'm talking and looking at him. " Do you want some napkins?" He asks. " Oh um if  you don't mind."

          We walk over to the counter and get some napkins and I try to wipe of as much coffee as I can. " I feel so bad that I ruined your shirt" the man said. " No really it's fine," I replied. " What's your name?" He asked. "Annabeth" I replied. " Its beautiful." I blushed so hard that I thought the brightest shade of red was on my face. " Thank you, yours." I questioned. " Percy," he said. " Do you wanna come sit down" I asked Percy. " I'd like that."
