The North Winds

The cold wind 200 meters above sea level ruffled Breeze's brown hair as she soared through the Danish skies on her paraglider. The great lakes, bordered by mountains, looked like mere puddles from that height, bathed in the faint light of the evening.

Breeze always loved to fly. That magic of moving through the air seeing the beautiful landscapes of Europe from the sky. She had flown over many territories of the old continent, but none compared to his home, that small territory at north of Germany. That peace was interrupted by a man's voice coming from his radio.

- Miss Eriksen, you are moving away from the permitted flying zone. Please come back.

- Okay, Captain, I'm going back - she replied with a bit of bitterness in her sweet voice.

- Received.

Breeze rolled her eyes and pulled the glider reins to turn. The only thing she hated about flying was having to go down. She always said that her place was up there. But since everything good has its end, she will always, sooner or later, have to land. As she went down, she was contemplating the beautiful landscape that surrounded her. While she was gliding near a mountain, a nearly vertical rock wall capted her attention. A group was using it for climbing and rappelling. "Aileen would love to be there," he thought and then returned his concentration to the descent to make it as controlled as possible.

Once on the ground, she was approached by Captain Magnusen, a man of imposing bearing and military air, who reprimanded her, again, for having exceeded the limits of the permitted flight zone.

- Yes, I understand, Captain - said Breeze, removing her parachute's backpack. Her words seemed to say "stop fucking now". Then she threw the backpack at the man, took off her helmet, letting her short hair fall, and walked towards the hangar. The Captain sighed.

- I just hope it does not happen again - said the latter rendered. She just waved her hand over his head without turning to see him.

Breeze went into the locker room to change out of her aviator outfit. In that moment, her cell phone rang; a call from "Aileen". She hurried and answered.

- Aileen! - she said putting the phone to her ear - How is everything in England? You can't imagine the sites I saw today while flying. There was a rock wall that I think you would love to climb.

- Hello, Breeze - answered a female voice with a British accent - Here it is the same as always. Cloudy as much as possible. But with the winds here, it's for you to bring your paraglider and fly over the Thamesis.

- Really? You are in London?

- I am sitting on top of London Bridge. And you?

- What envy. I am in the locker room of the same small air base near Lake Julso as usual - the Danish answered as she changed her overalls for civilian clothes - What's more, the Captain scolded me for "Exceeding the flight limits" - she said in a voice burlesque.

- Knowing you, you were surely about to arrive at your home in Aarhus.

- Hey! - Breeze complained - I didn't go that far either. Although, I appreciate that you have faith in me to get there by paragliding - she said finishing fitting the white jacket - Well, I'll cut the call. I have to get home before dark. Goodbye.

- Goodbye. We'll talk another day - Aileen answered and the call was cut.

Breeze came out of the locker room. No one was at the base except for a couple of perimeter security men. The night began to gain ground and the lights of the base began to turn on. She went behind one of the nearby hangars. Once there, he drew a floret, with a blade as thin as a hair, and a white suit covered her. In that moment, she rose from the ground, and ascended beyond the height of the mountains surrounding the base. After contemplating the view over the clouds, she pointed her sword back, and it generated a current of air that propelled her at full speed, hearing a sonic blow.
