Chapter 24: The Cry

We were running out of food supply and water. Things were down hill. Our mission was only to get to Washington but, i realized it will take longer. We were in Minnesota it felt like i was going to die of starvation. Giving our last food supply to Sam even though she acted like she didn't deserve it at all. The car ended up stopping we had no more gas. The sun beaming at our faces with sweat dripping from our neck. It felt like we were walking in a dessert. We got out of the car looking for a grocery store for food and water. The feeling of death which i denied, i wasn't going to lose my Wife over some starvation. Sam spotted a store it was Kroger with the letter E missing. We walked into the store with vines spreading from the ceiling on up. The scientist said unfortunately the food would not be good at this point. Well we have to look we need food or we are going to die. The sounds of a girl crying startled me. She was in a crouched position covering her face. With a torn blouse on with a color of brown. Crouching in the back of the store. Sam said who is she is she okay. I was walking closer her cry's were getting louder. The mechanic said what if she is like the other girl we found laying in the street she could of killed you.

I grabbed my machine gun letting out few rounds in the air.The moment i stopped she slowly moved her head up with eyes of black. Her nails were really long. Anabel and Sam started to back up slowly. She rose up sprinting at me like a animal. Her nails gliding across my back drawing blood. The mechanic shot her in the head with the cure but, it only shot out blanks. This was not going well.I got my gun shooting at her until she fell to the ground. She was furious was not going down unless twelve bullets was in her head. i felt like i was going to pass out i was losing allot of blood.
