The sun beat down upon Sunna and Brynjolf as they spared in the training yard of the house of Muhsin.
With sweat dripping from her brow the young Princess swung her staff at the older Nord who ducked it just in the nick of time and retaliated with a strike of his own to her legs sending the young woman to the ground in a cloud of dust.
"Come on lass focus, in a real fight you would be dead by now!" He told her shaking his head in annoyance.
Brynjolf and the others had all been training her none stop for the past three weeks on everything from politics to combat and strategy All the things that would be needed if their attempt to place her on the throne of her grandfather was successful.
Whipping the dirt from her clothes and arms Sunna pulled herself to her feet and returned to the practice lesson at hand.
Watching from the balcony that overlooked the training field was Muhsin and Tulla setting at a table going over the answers the old elf had received from his allies throughout the lands of Hammerfell and beyond.
"Do you think that she will ever be ready for the path that lays before her?" Tulla asked her master as she watched the young woman get knocked to once again.
The old dunmer looked up from the scroll he was reading and looked down at the training fields where his friend and the princess sparring.
"She is young and has much to learn but I have faith that she will rise to the occasion when the moment arises," he replied with a smile as he read the response of a letter from one of his associates in the east.
Tulla noticed the look of excitement on Muhsin's face and raised an eyebrow.
"Did they find him?" She asked as she poured them both a glass of wine handing one of them to the elf across from her.
"Yes, he was spotted in the mountains near the border with Skyrim," he replied taking the glass and downing it in one quick gulp "we must take her to speak with him the moment she is ready."
Though she wished to help the girl in reclaiming her birthright Tulla still believed that they were treading dangerous waters especially seeking out the creature that her master had his people looking for.
"As always I urge you to use caution when attempting to approach him and his kind for they are well known to be unpredictable," said the redguard woman as she leaned back in her chair and took a sip from the glass in her hand.
Muhsin was about to reply when the two of them were interrupted by the cheers of the guards from below.
Rising from their seats the pair gazed down from the balcony and beheld a sight that brought a smile to each of their faces.
Sunna had finally gained the upper hand in the mock fight and had sent Brynjolf crashing to the ground where she held her staff inches from his face.
The old elf turned to the Redguard woman beside him and gave her a scroll that he had quickly jotted down instructions on.
"Send this to our friends at the border tell him we will be seeing him shortly."
