The day of the moot had arrived and all the Jarls of the nine holds of Skyrim had gathered in the city of Solitude to vote on the next high king or queen of the northern kingdom.
Frother was seated in the throne room of the Blue Palace listening to the other Jarl's discuss the people whose names had been put forward as candidates for the position.
It was then that Sigmund stepped forward and proclaimed that he was throwing his support behind his lifelong friend Frother which earned him support from some and anger from others.
The one family that opposed the candidacy of the Jarl of Whiterun were the Blackbriars who were seeking to place one of their own on the throne.
"I Sibby Black-Briar put my name forward as a candidate for High King," said Sibby the now head of the family since the death of his mother fifteen years prior.
They had come to power in Riften during the Stormcloak rebellion after betraying the former Jarls to the Empire who later placed them on the throne of the hold.
Now with them eyeing the high throne of Skyrim it made more than a few people weary.
And so with no one else's name put forward, the Jarls began to cast their votes with Frother carrying the majority becoming the winner of the election.
As the news made its way throughout the nine holds, the people rejoiced and praised their future high King and hoped for a brighter future ahead.
When news reached Dragon's Reach Isabel thanked the gods for giving her husband and their family such a grand blessing but at the same time, she couldn't shake the feeling from her mind that dark days lay on the horizon for Skyrim and her people.
The future Queen would soon learn to trust her feelings of dread and doom for in the west the Reachmen were joining forces with the Orcs under the leadership of a Warrior King known as Bearach a powerful and ruthless man who was laying plans for a total Conquest of the Western holds.
"Brothers, sisters, and friends of the Reach soon we will make the streets and halls of the Nords run red with the blood of their kin!" He shouted earning a roar from the gathered hordes "we will show them that the west has no king but I Bearach, now go and rest well for tomorrow we will make the western holds burn!"
And indeed they did pouring over the Reach in a wave of fire and blood sparing neither the old nor the young, neither man, mer or beast.
