Gay panic

The dark haired girl (Maria's POV)

I start to zone out while my teacher is talking. I hate this class. It's so boring, it makes me feel so...tired. I don't ever get much sleep anymore. With how early I have to wake up and immediately start working, spend 6 hours at school, then go to track. I'd do anything just to take a nap right now.
"Eloise, are you okay?" Mrs. Gerber said
Who's Eloise?
"Uh, yeah, just had to grab my notebook,"
I look in front of me. So this is Eloise? I try examine her, but it's hard given that I can only see the back of her. Her hair was straight, dark, and she wore her hair down. I can tell it's not naturally straight. Her hair is frizzy, that could be cause by heat damage from a flat iron. Her dark hair color wasn't natural either, she had spots of dark brown in her hair. I couldn't tell if it was naturally dark brown or black.
My eyes slowly start to close. Ugh, I can't fall asleep now! Just wait until I can get to the nurse. I drop my head down behind the dark haired girl, I already forgot her name. I'm so tired. My eyes felt so heavy, I couldn't help but close them. I got down lower and put my head on my desk and made sure the teacher couldn't see me.
I instantly drifted off to sleep.
I got woke up by the ringing of the bell. It took me a second to wake up, but I eventually get up and grab my bag. I look over at the dark haired girl. She wasn't getting up. It's like she was in her own world. I walk past her and go over to the door. Standing at the door I turn around for a second and look at her... she still hasn't moved. As I look at her, her gaze becomes fixed on me. Ahh, what do I do? Without thinking it through I wink at her and walk out. DID I REALLY JUST DO THAT? EW!
The bell stops, all of the classes are definitely out now. I have to make it to the nurse. I'm close with the schools nurse, she knows about my schedule and sleep issues and let's me come in sometimes after classes and sleep in her office. Since I'm going in after first, it means I'd have to miss second period. But that didn't bother me. Like I said, Id do anything for a nap.
I creep into the nurses office
"Hello?" I call out
No answer...
"Hello?!" I call out again
I hear walking from the main office coming to the nurses office.
"There you are," i say nervously
"Let me guess, you want to take a nap," she smiled at me
I nod and she looks at me
"I can't always do this for you, you need to fix your schedule,"
This caught me off guard. What? I can't help it!!
"I'm sorry ma'am, but I can't help it. I can't just change my schedule like that,"
She doesn't look or respond to me. I was now looking at the floor. This is awkward. What do I do now?
She points over at the small bed she had next to her desk and write me a note. I put my bag down and crashed on the bed. The bed wasn't very comfortable but I didn't care. Sleep is sleep.
I close my eyes, ready to go to sleep. But I hear someone walk in.
"Hey, so, I need a late pass. The bathroom was packed and it took me forever to get a stall,"
That voice sounded familiar. Is it? Is it the dark haired girl?
"Oh hello Eloise! Of course you can have a pass!"
Ah, that's her name. I open my eyes to get a look at her.
Her jawline was very sharp, almost like a mans. Her nose was big but it looked good on her, like she knew how to pull it off. Her lips looked dry and her face was covered in acne. I don't know why but I found it oddly attractive... I caught myself staring, but I didn't wanna stop. She was beautiful.
Her eyes went from the nurse to me. She caught me staring. She smiles and waves. But I couldn't wave back. I'm sorry but I'm to tired to do anything. I roll over and fall asleep. I couldn't get a look at her as she walked out. But I could tell she got out of there fast.
Oh Eloise, how do you do it?
