"I Can Only Trust Him"

Chapter 11

*Xavier pov-*

"Just this once, wake up Lucy." I watched her with haunted eyes as she laid lifeless on the hospital bed, unmoving. I made her like this, "What have I done to you!"

My head dropped down as if the guilt was too heavy for my shoulders.

"I am sorry. " I whispered.
Her scent was all over my face when I gently buried my face on her belly sniffing in the sweet scent of her.

Flashbacks of events raced my mind as I closed my eyes breathing in her scent as much as I can.

I rewind my every past move, every action, every wrongdoing that I did to her, desperate to ask apologies for all them.

*Flashback of all the events in Xavier's mind*

Alex beating me to death, made my conscience wide awake.
I hit her wi- with my own car and she slew across the silver nails, her skin smoking where they touch her.

My car laid upside down when I regained my conscience. With no other thought, my eyes flickered over her.

I was scared. Scared to loose her.

I pulled her off, checking her everywhere.
She was burned wherever the silver touched her soft skin.
She could be paralyzed due to silver.
If not treated immediate, she could be dead.

Blood drains away my face as I realize the consequences of my deeds.

My hands shivered lifting her up bringing here at pack hospital, as quick as possible.

"Move out of the way!" I roared at the entrance and silence took over.
"I need Doctor Lia to treat her right now." I said barging inside.

The receptionist looked at the computer, then on her wristwatch,
"I am sorry but Doctor Lia is busy with a patient for a few hours. We have Doctor Williams, Edward, and Doctor Martin available."  She said typing on her computer, and three doctors rushed towards me.

She's really testing my patience, "Just do what I ask you to do!"  I yelled, irritated.

"You will have to wait at least an hour for Doctor Lia."

Did she just try to argue with me.?

My eyes narrowed, turning red, "This is your Alpha ordering you. Doctor Lia, Right Now." I growled, all the three doctors backed away from me.
The receptionist jumped at my voice, she was horrified.

Some nurses hurried towards the operating room and in an instant Doctor Lia came running in her vampire speed.

She studied Lucy's condition, "Get the operating team ready. Take her to room 104. Bring blood bags and IV. We need vampire medication, injections, and get the portions Blair made. "  She said focusing on Lucy's condition.

I ran to the room Doctor mentioned that was left from ahead.
I gently placed Lucy on the bed.

Doctor Lia is the most trusted doctor. She's been working with us for a few decades. The fact that she's a female makes me more at rest, I am not going to let any man get his hands all over her. Being a specialist, Doctor Lia can treat my mate well.

The silver used was a powerful one. It had burn impacts all over Lucy's body. The grey smoke kept rising from the places she was burned. She had cuts everywhere on her body, she was injured on her knees. Her arms and legs were all scratched. One silver nail grazed her head, slicing through her cheek.

I hate myself.

When I love someone they become my weakness. I end up hurting them even if I don't mean to.
If she wakes, I'll never force her for anything. I will understand if she doesn't want me near her.
I want her to be safe.
I want her to be my strength, not my weakness.
