The Mystery Inc. gang must save Coolsville from an attack of their past monsters brought to life by an evil masked figure who is practically hellbent on trying to take down the gang.
I own neither RWBY or Scooby Doo, and I am doing Monsters Unleashe...
The following day, the gang went to watch the news report, Jaune and Scooby hiding behind the kitchen counter as Neptune, Pyrrha, and Blake were watching the news.
"The higher the pedastol, the harder the fall. And Mystery Inc. fell far." Heather Jasper-Howe said on the news report. "In the embarrassing debacle that tarnished the reputation of the once great gang, two of the gang's key members Jaunathan 'Jaune' Arc and Scoobert 'Scooby' Doo are seen causing un-told damage to Coolsville's hottest new tourist attraction which took a full two years to complete. When asked for comment, Neptune Vasilias, leader of Mystery Incorporated, had this to say..." Heather added as the report played a clip of Neptune saying, 'Little old Coolsville can solve it's problems without us.'
"I didn't say that!!!" Neptune snapped as Blake stood up. "I-I mean I did, but THAT'S OUT OF CONTEXT!"
Blake sighs as she shut the TV off.
"It's all my fault. I'm the one who told Jaune and Scooby to get the ropes." Blake states
"No, Blake, it's my fault." Pyrrha responds. "I should've checked if they were tied before I let go."
"It's my fault, too." Neptune said, standing up. "We all know how Jaune and Scooby can be."
Behind the kitchen counter, Scooby whimpered as Jaune looks down.
"But it's all right. We just need to stay strong, in control, and work fast." Neptune added
"Come on, gang, let's get to the lab." Blake comments as they headed off to said lab. "We'll figure a way out of this jurrasic jumble."
Meanwhile, still behind the kitchen counter, Jaune and Scooby sat there, Scooby looking down.
"We're screw-ups..." Shaggy said
"Reah..." Scooby replied in a whimper
"I guess looking back, every time the gang made a plan, we did screw it up, somehow. I just never noticed it before." Jaune added
"Rme neither." Scooby replied
"There's gotta be a way that we can, like, actually prove we belong in the gang." Shaggy said. "We've got to do something totally unlike us."
"Rhmmm...." Scoob hummed as he gently tapped his chin in thought
"You know, Scoob, we could act like real detectives!" Shaggy says
That gets Scooby to laugh before he realizes Shaggy wasn't joking as the two get up.
In the lab, Neptune, Pyrrha, and Blake were at a computer station in the lab as Jaune and Scooby came through the door. Jaune was wearing different clothes but still kept the same color scheme as his usual clothes and Scooby was wearing one of Blake's spare sweaters and Pyrrha's go-go boots
"Like,it's time to kick this investigation up to an 11." Jaune said
"What the heck are you guys doing?" Neptune asks rather confused and trying hold back laughter about their sudden change in behavior
"Well,we figured that the first step to solving a mystery would be to wear the right attire." Jaune answers. "I'm sorry, Pyrrha. Your go-go boots didn't fit..me" Jaune adds as Scooby shows that he had hem on
"Scooby! Those so don't go with that sweater!" Pyrrha said
Suddenly, the computer beeped and a printer printed out a sheet which Jaune grabbed and looked at but didn't know he had it upside down.
"Alas, what are these strange markings?" Jaune comments
Neptune leaned over, took the paper out of Shaggy's hands, and put them back in right side up.
"Words." Neptune comments
"Aaah....Scooby-Doo, take notes." Jaune says
"RGotcha." Scooby replied as he pulled out a pencil and got to work dotting something down onto his little notepad
"Come on, you kooks." Blake says, grabbing the paper from Jaune and looking it over. "It's come back positive! This is a real Pterodactyl scale."
"That Masked Figure was out to humiliate us." Neptune stated
"Maybe it's someone we unmasked." Pyrrha comments
Everyone got up and walked over to a computer as Blake questions, "But who would be able to make a real Pterodactyl Ghost?"

"The original Pterodactyl Ghost, Dr. Johnathan Jacobo." Pyrrha explained, pulling up a criminal database file on the said crook
"That's right!" Blake comments. "Jacobo had been involved with many crimes, wreaking havoc with all sorts of crime sprees. He had stolen millions which he used to finance his failed experiments trying to create real monsters."
Scooby kept writing some stuff down on his notepad.
"Nope. That's impossible." Blake responds. "Three years ago, he attempted a prison escape with Roman Torchwick. Both of their bodies were lost at sea."
"Well, how about this? Jacobo and Torchiwck's cellmate was released from prison two months ago." Pyrrha said, pulling up another file

"Jeremiah Wickles." Pyrrha comments
"The Black Knight Ghost..." Neptune recalled. "That was one of the costumes that was stolen!"
"What do you think about this whole situation, Scooby-Doo?" Jaune asked his canine friend
"RBunny." Scooby said as he showed off his sketchpad drawing of a cartoon bunny
