Chapter 10: The Final Battle!

In the underground lab, Neptune, Blake, and Pyrrha came running through the exploded Monster Hive door.

"I don't see Jaune and Scooby anywhere!" Neptune comments

"Poor guys are probably running around helpless and terrified!" Pyrrha added

Just then, an elevator came down and they looked over, seeing Jaune and Scooby covered in bits of cotton candy and Scooby sneezed, Shaggy holding the control panel.

"This is, like, the greatest day of our lives, Scoob." Jaune said as the two got off the elevator. "Finally, a monster we can sink out teeth into."

Scooby nodded in agreement.

"You know, Scoob,, i'm kinda thirsty I wonder if there's a liter sized soda glob anywhere." Jaune comments jokingly, getting a chuckle from Scooby

Neptune ran over and grabbed the control panel as he said, "Come on, guys, we have to hurry."

They then ran into the Monster Hive as Jaune and Scooby brushed off the cotton candy that they had on them.

"We have to get this control panel back before-" Neptune starts

From something they see, they all stop dead in their tracks. Right in front of them was The Skeleton Men, The Miner 4er, The Creeper and somehow, The Hound, which looked like a deformed version of what it looked like earlier due to the impact on the truck

"-before exactly THAT happens." Fred finished

Just then, The Evil Masked Figure walked out onto the metal gangplank in front of them that was a few feet above the ground.

"At last I have you, Mystery Inc." The Evil Masked Figure taunts. "You'll never make it past my monsters."

The Skeleton Men and Creeper roared as The Miner 49er growled.

"We've taken these jerks before, gang....let's do it again." Pyrrha said

Neptune runs forward but gets stuck as tar slowly wraps around him from the feet up.

"Neptune!!" Pyrrha calls out

"It's not them you need to worry about!" The Evil Masked Figure taunts while laughing

"Now you are stuck in my trap." The Tar Monster spoke

"Pyrrha!!" Neptune yells before tossing the control panel

Pyrrha jumped forward and caught the panel. The moment she was back on her feet, though, The Tar Monster rose up behind her and picked her up.

"Gotcha!" The Tar Monster taunts

Pyrrha looks around and tosses the panel and says, "Catch it, Blake!!"

Blake jumped to catch it but sneezed when she hit the ground, tar slowly wrapping around her.

"Jaune! Here!!!" Velma says before tossing the panel to Jaune

Jaune fumbles around but drops the panel and it hit the ground. However, before The Tar Monster could get it, Jaune picked up the panel again and was slowly backing up against some metal canisters, doing everything he can to keep the panel away from the tar.

Scooby was cowering as he backed up in a corner, scared for his friends as the tar slowly wraps around Jaune.

"Soon, your friends will be dead, and Coolsville destroyed." The Evil Masked Figure taunts. "My revenge will be final, and there's NOTHING YOU CAN DO ABOUT IT!!"
