Surprise..?

-Request by d0rango on AO3! 'orca hybrid ranboo and they freak out when ranboo goes missing and they find him in water? (they freak out because his enderman side is usually more in control but every now and then the other side comes out) + i think it would be cool that he'd have to stay in water when he's an orca. do with this what you want :)'-

Ranboo let out a small sigh as he was sat in the water, muttering a few things to himself as he ducked his head under the water every now and again, soaking his split hair, not caring much as his skin wasn't burning from the wet clothes or any of the water dripping off of his hair.

He tilted his head to his right slightly, thinking about why he had to be both an orca and an enderman especially since those two creatures were complete opposites.

He hated it when his more dominant hybrid traits flipped randomly as he had to stay in water when his orca traits were more dominant meaning that whenever they randomly flipped, he ended up burning and screeching as he was sat in water, his skin getting burnt which meant most of his burns were due to that random flip of traits.

He hummed to himself a small bit before he perked up, his ears twitching a small bit as he heard some voices in the distance yelling something and he just assume it was Tommy and Tubbo doing whatever and annoying each other before he realised it was getting closer to him and he could properly make out what they were saying, "-boo!? Ranboo, where the fuck did you go!?"

He jumped a small bit as he'd realised that was Tommy calling out for him and he made a small questioning noise as his head tilted to his left, carefully listening for Tommy's voice again, "Ranboo! Please come out now, this isn't funny!"

He made a soft noise as he turned to the direction of Tubbo's voice, eyes searching for where the boy could be before spotting the two coming into view, watching as Tommy seemed to spot him first and his eyes going wide, his raccoon ears lowering before he started to run towards Ranboo, "Ranboo what the fuck!? Why are you in the fucking water you dumb bitch!?"

Ranboo watched as Tubbo followed after Tommy, looking just as concerned, if not more, as Tommy sounded, "How are you sitting in there? Doesn't that hurt you?"

He kept his head tilted before he slowly shook his head, making another small noise before he spoke for the first time that day, "No? I mean- my enderman traits aren't the more dominant ones today.."

"The fuck do you mean more dominant? What even is your other half cause h still don't fuckin' know that!" He winced a small bit, looking a bit contemplative before he fell backwards into the water, spooking the two before he came back to the surface and laughed a small bit before looking behind him and picking up the orca tail he'd gained by his traits flipping, "I'm half orca and half enderman! That's why I'm able to go into the water right now!"
Tommy and Tubbo both let out a sigh before Tubbo smiled at Ranboo, Tommy beginning to cuss the ender-orca hybrid out because he scared them both, Tubbo laughing at the slightly confused look on Ranboo's face as he just seemed to be off into his own world while still staring at Tommy.

Once Tommy noticed that Ranboo wasn't actually paying attention, the raccoon hybrid decided he'd get Ranboo's attention his own way - by tackling said boy and ending up soaked as Ranboo let out an inhuman sound at the attack, making the other two freeze in shock before they burst out laughing, Ranboo laughing with them despite not actually knowing what they were laughing at.

Tubbo shook his head a small bit as he sat down, taking off his socks and shoes to dip his feet into the water, watching Ranboo be chased by Tommy through the water, the orca hybrid obviously being quicker than the latter causing Tommy to let out a huff and go over to Tubbo, the two watching Ranboo play around in the water for a little bit before he went over to his two friends and sat in the water while Tommy dried off on the land and Tubbo sat with his feet in the water, "Hey Ranboo? Why didn't you tell us you were half orca earlier?"

"Uh, Surprise..? No, I just kind of.. Forgot to tell you two."

"How the fuck do you forget to tell someone that!?"

"I don't know! I just know that I did- wait- wait Tommy- Tommy nO!"

Tubbo cackled as he watched Ranboo get tackled by the raccoon again, falling onto his back as he curled up into a laughing ball, listening to Ranboo make inhuman noises and squeaking a lot while Tommy yelled at him, swearing and threatening him. Tubbo also made note of all the splashing around, wondering what they were doing before he felt himself get sprayed with water, all of them freezing as the boy sat up slowly, glaring at the two before launching himself at them, making them both scream indignantly and quickly try to get away from the boy.

Ranboo smiled widely once they'd all stopped messing around in the water, his two friends laying on the land and murmuring small things as they all watched the sun setting, Ranboo still being sat in the water and he closed his eyes for a moment, feeling happy as he listened to the two behind him.
