Melina never liked talking about what happened between her and her step-cousin, but she was also very good at hiding her feelings around others, so once no one else was in the cafeteria she cried.

Yesterday, Melina had thought she was happy, but no. She had to remember what happened. It wasn't Y/ns fault for asking, she was just curious. Y/n didn't know. Melina didn't want to ignore Y/n, even though she said she didn't have to answer the question, but she did, Melina answered her question and now she is staring out of a cafeteria window crying.

Melina had cried for two hours before deciding to get up and sit where she sat outside yesterday. She had always found the outdoors comforting. Whenever she was upset she would always go sit outside, whether it was where she was now, in the park somewhere, or on her porch.

Melina sat outside staring past the clouds for hours before Y/n came outside after seeing her sitting there. Melina had seen Y/n this time so it didn't scare her when the younger girl sat beside her.

Y/n finally broke the silence after a few minutes. "You missed lunch and dinner Melina, are you okay?" The younger girl looked at the woman with concern. When Melina looked back at her Y/n saw how red and puffy her eyes were, as if she had been crying.

"Melina?" Was all she said before pulling the other woman into a hug. Melina did not hesitate to hug the younger girl back, and put her forehead on the younger girls shoulder.

Y/n pulled back from the hug first and put her hands on Melinas shoulders so she could look at her face. The two girls made eye contact and Melina look away immediately.

"Melina. A-Are you okay? You don't have to tell me what happened, I just want a yes or no answer." The younger girl was still looking at the other woman while saying this, even though Melina had looked away.

She finally answered the younger girls question, not wanting to ignore her and be rude.

"Umm. Yes. I'm okay, or i will be at least." She said as she laid her head on the other girls shoulder. Both Melina and Y/n were now staring past the clouds.

Y/n hesitantly put her arm around Melina and moved her thumb up and down trying to make her feel comforted.

Melina closed her eyes and tried to think of something else. After a few minutes Y/n noticed that her eyes were closed and, thinking she was asleep, moved back a little bit so neither of them fell off the edge.

After a few minutes Melina actually fell asleep. A few minutes later she woke up to Y/n gone. She looked behind her before screaming her name. As she looked to her right she saw the younger girl bleeding out.

Melina then actually awoke still with her head on the younger girls shoulder screaming.

"Melina. Hey shhh, it was just a dream shh. Hey it's okay." Y/n took Melina's hands in hers, making her look at her. "Melina listen. Shhh. It's okay, it's okay. Look. Deep breath in and out." Y/n took a deep breath in and out, Melina did the same. They did this until Melina was properly breathing again.

"Good, you're okay. See?" Melina nodded her head in response. "Do you want to talk about it?" She asked as she wiped the tears
of the the woman's face.

"No." She looked down at the concrete ground. "Not really." She looked back up into the other girls eyes.

"Okay, that's okay. We don't have to." Y/n got up and reached out her hand for Melina to grab. She hesitantly grabbed her hand and got up. They let go of each other's hands and walked to the cafeteria. Y/n poured some water in a glass and gave it to Melina.

"Thank you." She said as she walked over to the window by the table that they had both sat at during breakfast.

Y/n grabbed a sandwich and an apple. She gave both to Melina, since she had missed lunch and dinner, and sat down. Melina was holding the plate of food, still staring out the window. It was dark now so you could see the stars and moon out. She finally turned around at looked at the younger girl staring at her.

"Thank you. Again." She sat down, still looking at the girl in front of her, who was also still looking at her.

Y/n finally broke the silence after realizing she was still looking at the other woman. "Oh, umm yeah, yeah. You're welcome." Both ladies give a small smile before Melina finally takes a small bite of of the turkey sandwich that the younger girl gave her.

After almost an hour Melina finally finished her food and threw away her trash. She then realizes that Y/n probably has training the text morning. "You should probably go to bed Y/n. You have training in the morning right?"

Y/n stops looking out the window and turns around to look at Melina. "Oh umm yes I do. I should probably go to bed. Goodnight Melina."

"Goodnight Y/n." They both smile as Y/n turns and walks away. Melina realizes that she's staring at Y/n ass. She looks out the window and laughs before heading to the room Dreykov gave her and falls asleep.
