In his sleep, he heard something. Someone was calling his name, but he felt too exhausted to answer.

Moreover, he didn't feel like answering, thus he chose to put himself into a deep slumber.

Waking up, drenched in his own sweat, Nobu immediately jerked upwards from the warm bed. As he looked around, he realized it was just like any other day in Draconia. The warm trees and the sun shone through the window once more, as they always did. He couldn't recall how many days or how many weeks he had been in Draconia now.

But he was definitely getting used to the ropes of things.

Raiden was still right by his side, as he always is, asleep. As Nobu looked around Raiden's room out of curiosity once more, he realized that the alpha never changed anything in his room. Nothing was out of place, nothing was unorthodox – it was the same, yet the strangest thing to Nobu was the fact that it didn't feel boring.

Unlike Tokyo, Draconia could stay in the same peaceful era for what seemed like eternity, yet it would never cease to bore him. Perhaps it was because not everything in Draconia was explored yet, but Nobu knew there was a bigger reason to it than that. Draconia was the exact epitome of what he would describe as a fantasy world. But it was also the same exact world that he had read about in a certain manhua he had picked up years before. It would be too much of a stretch to say he was suddenly transported into that story's world, but in his strange life, he'd expect weirder things to happen.

Laying back down in bed, Nobu turned to look at Raiden, who was beginning to snore. He has absolutely no idea, Nobu thought, smirking, while in his own head, thinking about how Raiden had absolutely no idea what Nobu's intentions were and what his dream was. It had occurred to Nobu a long time ago that he was just a random omega that Raiden had picked up from the street. The reason why the alpha kept him around was rather unclear to him – someone as high-ranking as Raiden wouldn't keep a useless omega around for no reason, especially a high-ranking alpha who is in a family that prides itself on only purebred alphas.

It wasn't just that Raiden's family was in the way. If there was one specific detail that Nobu remembered from the manhua, it was the way the characters were introduced. Whilst reading it, he remembered that the first time Raiden Mochizuki was introduced to the readers, it was in a fight between another hybrid and him. From the introduction alone, Nobu would have thought Raiden was a brute and an absolutely merciless alpha, who's masculine pride was prided on bloodshed of other hybrids. The Raiden in front of him was nothing like the story.

In fact, the Raiden in front of him was actually incredibly caring and much more whimsical and clumsy than he expected. He had expected the great emperor of Draconia to be a cold and calculating beauty, but the emperor he had met was nothing short of empathetic. He was still a beauty, but he wasn't cold nor calculating. Still, Nobu thought, if things go exactly like how I remember they do in the book, then that means...

By the time Nobu felt like he had enough energy to get up for the day, he noticed that Raiden had already gotten out of bed.

Figures, Nobu thought. Raiden was probably extremely busy with who knows what, but Nobu knew that was exactly what he needed. It granted him an opportunity to fully snoop around the palace without someone watching him like a hawk.
