That one time Amber looked at him
She realized how broken he was
He may have said he was fine
But eyes could never lie
She wished she could take all of that pain away from him
And see that contagious smile again
But all of what Amber could have done for him
Was to stand by his side
She wished she could take his hands
And tell him that everything will be alright
But that would have been Amber's biggest lie
